[Miakemi]

This is my entry for the color the bird contest being put on by April410. It's my first Oekaki, and I like how it turned out, though the background and shading could have been better.

I saw the sad eye which was one option to color and thought about all the birds that are taken from the wild in the illegal exotics trades as well as the birds that some people buy and then basically ignore. For every good bird owner, there's at least 2 or 3 bad ones. So, I made a window where the bird can see freedom so close and so far away. Makes me sad just thinking about it...
