personality | Lisuus used to be a very open, endearing soul when he was part of the priesthood, some decades ago. Young and devoted to his cause, Lisuus went about his duties around the monastery with more care and attentiveness than any of his fellow disciples. After certain events that will be further explained, he became distrustful of all others around him, suspicious and isolating himself to the mountains many many miles away from his former home. Unsure about the world around him, and what to do, he became cautious and nearly silent, feeling eternally betrayed and afraid that his encroaching feelings of anger and hatred would drag him further and further into impurity. Upon first look he is standoffish and wary, with a tendency to snap or flee if he feels that one is breaching his personal space. Once past this initial negativity, Petoll is helpful and knowledgeable, always offering wise advice or help to those he comes across in the wilderness on his wanderings.
history | One day, when he was young and scavenging the hills about the monastery in the evening, Lisuus came upon a demon of high ranking, sitting in a ring of scorched earth and watching the monastery from a distance - he would get scorched if he came within bounds of the holy grounds, and thus waited patiently for any prey to wander by. As it were, Lisuus approached, and the demon proceeded to disguise himself, in the guise of a weary young knight, quite handsome and appearing injured.
Already privy to the fact that there might have been evil magic about, Petoll approached him carefully, engaging in light conversation until the demon offered to take him away from the monastery, out into the world, playing on the young kiamara's drive for adventure. Unbeknownst to him, a jealous priest viewed the scene from afar, fleeing the hill to tell Father Jairun of the disciple's association with one of evil.
Meanwhile, the demon became angry that his offerings had no effect, and slashed Lisuus across the left eye, causing him to lose vision in it, and in turn he was able to see the other realms beyond his, privy to the treachery and suffering of other beings in other worlds - and it turned from red to a pale, blind blue, always glowing with the purple light of sinister influence.
Soon thereafter he was banished from the grounds, influenced by the lies of his brother to be stripped of the holy name Jumalallinen, and christened once more with the name Petollisuus in its stead.
