Because I want you guys to be CREATIVE!! Get your brains thinkin' up there. Wipe out the cobwebs. :P But, before I go on and tell you what I like and want to see etc etc, I'll bribe you to join with the promising prizes. >:)

First Place- First choice of up to 10 pets. If they are interested in joining Zel Valley, they will receive 10,000 SZ. Three free pieces of art from me. They will also, if they want, be able to partner up with me to own the species I will be creating from the lines I get from this contest.

Okay, so I'm sure you all have lots of questions. If I don't answer them in the passage below, feel free to PM me. ^^
Okay, so I've been wanting a few new unique characters lately, but I've also wanted to create my own species. This competition is sort of doing both. Before I go any further, let me explain what I mean by species.
I'm going to create a neighboring planet that has happened to be unnoticeable revolving around the sun, even though it is right next to us{XD Yeah right}. It is like a second Earth, as far as it's composition goes. It's a little smaller than Earth and holds many of the same species or species like ours, just a bit different. There are a few humans that live here, but they usually lay low, hiding in the shadows. However, there are three species that exist on this planet that humans have never seen anything like. They are intelligent, probably more than humans. They realize that humans are destroying their planet, and moving onto theirs, so obviously they went to war with us, defending their home. These creatures are the Lapon, Toina, and Slythis. Their descriptions are below~ But yes, this is the general, really rough overview. x3
Anyhow, coming back to the competition, your job is to create me a character, but a species all at once. It shouldn't be too hard. ;0 Please keep in mind that if you win, I will MOST LIKELY be using your lines and trying to work with you on the species.
Now, for some species information. 8D
Lapon- A generally large, burly wolf-like creature. They're body is much like that of a wolf, but their legs are very feathered, much like that of an Australian Shepherd. It's got a wolf-like head, and ears to match. However, in some cases, it will have half-folded ears, or abnormally large ears. It's tail is like that of a wolf, but it has two. In very rare cases it will have one. Sometimes it's tails will be short or even bobbed, and rarely curled. Even rarer is a Lapon with two very long tails. Their coats, oddly enough, have no limits in colors. However, the base color is usually a white/gray/black, brown, tan, gray-blue, or reddish color. It displays all sorta of natural markings we see here on Earth, and they usually complement the coat color-wise, not standing out much.
Toina- This species is a big cat, standing almost to the size of the Lapon. They resemble a mix of all the large cats we see here on Earth. They've got the sleep, elite body of Jaguars, the speed of a cheetah, and the boldness of a lion. However, their face is much like that of a house cat with the pointed ears and all. Sometimes these cats have thick coats like a lynx does. Their tails are just like that of a house cat, but sometimes the tail is bobbed. That trait occurs most in the thick coated Toinas. Just like the Lapon, their base coat color is usually a white/gray/black, brown, tan, gray-blue, or reddish color. Unlike the Lapon, however, their markings are usually like the markings of cats on Earth. Most of them are tabbies or tiger striped, calicos or solids; the marks just go on and on. Usually their markings form shapes, like maybe a flower in the stripes of a tabby, or an eye, or something. They usually don't carry odd colors such as green and blue or pink and red, but sometimes they do.
Slythis- This species is unlike any other ever seen living on Earth. They are HUGE dragon creatures that come in ALL different colors. Their body build can be referred to as a "Western Dragon." This species is probably the most varying one. They're wings can be either dragon, feathered, a mix of butterfly, feathered, AND dragon, or no wings at all. Although they all have scales, some of them have feathers on their tail, created on their head, or on the backs of their legs. These are generally the flying dragons. Some of them have skin and fins on the back of their legs, on the ends of their tails, on their backs, and crested on their heads. These are the water dragons. Same goes for some others dragons, but they have spines. Sometimes they don't even have any of these things. Their scale color is almost always a non-vibrant, pastel, or muted tone of anything. However, their markings are usually bright and abundant. Tribal markings are often found on them, in many different colors.
By all means, you DO NOT have to follow these species. You can create anything you would like. If you don't want to do anything related to my species plan, then just make me a character. x3 I like Aussies, wolfs, huskies, cats, horses, bengals, etc etc.
Now, to get to my character part, I need to show you what I would like you to do to really make the character you make my character as well as the species, if you choose to do so.
