So, I randomly got the idea of making a species that's basically a cool mix of a betta fish and a cat, but while making the lineart I didn't like the proportions, no matter how I redid it. Since I am a COPPA player, at the end of the contest, the prize winners will be posted here and the prize pets will be gifted in a trade saying "Will you please accept this trade?"
[strike]Ends March 7, 2022.
Date might change if I don't get a base I fall in love with.
Because there are only three entries, two of which are unfinished, I will let this contest stand for another week.
Ends March 14, 2022
Ends March 21, 2022.
Because one of the entries is still unfinished and maybe some other people will enter.
Ends March 28, 2022.
Still, only one of the entries is fully finished. After this, I will not push the sue date further.

Species Info
They all have a caudal fin (tail), anal fin (bottom fin), dorsal fin (top fin), ventral fins (those thin knife-shaped things on the elbows), and an operculum (gills). Males have "beards" (those thin skin flaps poking out from under the fins).
Are mainly carnivores, but can nibble on vegetables when hungry or out of curiousity.
Can breath and swim underwater.
Their main body is that of a housecat
Fins and tail can have different shapes, depending on what betta fish they are based off of
Can only have natural betta fish colors (not really a problem, those fish come in a wide array of color palettes)
