Welcome to the Scientist Search for the Flametail Hellunds!
We are looking for some people to join our team of researchers (artists/mods) for this cool species!

If you are interested, please be sure to read all of the rules below to enter!

This competition will stay open indefinitely.

Positions Available:
- Research Assistant (guest artist)
- Researcher (part-time artist)
- Scientist (full-time artist)

Rules:
1) Please use a cover for your entries. It will help keep them organized.
2) Do not remove any layers that say do not remove.
3) Do not claim as your own or try to take these elsewhere.
4) You may make as many entries as you like, but you must make at least 3.
5) You're welcome to make different rarities. Pay close attention to what is allowed on the genes right now.
6) NO line edits! Please only color them!!!!
7) You must include the genes in your description for each entry. Below you will find the information you need for that.
8) Please read everything below BEFORE entering! This is important, so that you understand the species!
9) Please follow all CS rules

Here is some general information about the species.

Genetics page.

How the genetics work:

- If it's a trait that is shown, it is REQUIRED to have the gene code. (Ie. hellunds with long tongues have LTu in their genetic code)
- Hellunds of each rarity can only carry a maximum of 2 genes of greater rarity, two categories higher than their own rarity. (Ie. Common hellunds can only carry a maximum of 2 Rare traits, and NO Ultra Rares)
- Don't worry about the third code for genes, unless the hellund shows the trait, but can not pass it down to offspring. (Ie. Ultra Rare hellund has rainbow spine, but will not pass it on to offspring, rbx needs to be in the genetic code.


Here is an example of coding for genetics:

Traits Displayed: R/Y/O flames, stripes, spots, more fur, bright colors,
Genetics: Dcc/STc/SPc/Fxc/Hcc/Nfu/XFu/Ltu/Hr/Str/BCr/Lcx

hey ah sorry if this is a stupid question but im not very familiar with some of CS mechanics, is there a specific way one is required to make entries? other than the cover photo... which ill.. work out XD

Just color them in. So if you click the "colormein" button, make a cover, and then under that cover, do the same. If you like, I can make an example.

that would be super helpful if you wouldnt mind doing that! i have colored one in but i still wasnt sure on how to go about the cover?
do all the entries go on the same file or do you make seperate ones for each of them?

I have posted an example of how it should be done. Both the cover page, as well as the entries, and some explanation as how to manage the genetics.
