Characteristics of the Species
This equine species is build like a normal draft horse but they are far from a normal equine. They are large and muscular, heights reaching from sixteen hands to nineteen. They have feathering on their lower legs that doesn't get long. They live in a secluded area of forest and plains, with a large water source. Their coat patterns often range from solids, pintos and paints, you will rarely see a appaloosa and roans though albino's are basically unheard of. These equines have feather along their backs near the base of their tail, a known characteristic for this species. Their tails are not like equines but more feline and agile, breaking into a fork at the end with an extra path of feathering before the break. Another characteristic is their ear feather and horns. The ear feathering helps protect their ears from harsh cold winter months and blizzards. The horns are only found in males, often used during mating season to fight other stallions and also impress the mare. The three horns are made of ivory and found in many colors, mostly the shades of the stallion's eye color. They also have chin feathering.
Mares are often larger than the stallion and sometimes more aggressive. They are known to attack without being provoke and are very unpredictable. The species is small in numbers due to the fact that mares seem only able to have three foals in their lifespan. These equines live up to twenty years in the wild though the stallions often times don't reach their full lifespan due to injuries and fights. Stallion are able to breed five times compared to a mare's three. Their manes don't get long, there is no reason why they just seem to stay short throughout their lives.
