What is a CMD?

CMD stands for Celtic Moorland Draft. They are a heavyset breed standing between 17-25hh. They have thick fur and heavy feathering.

The Contest

You now have a chance to win a spot as a CMD artist! I will be selecting a small handful of the participants of this contest to become full artists for the species. Honorable mentions will be guest artists. And SerenWish(yes I am calling you out see the next post) will get a chance to become a permanent artists if she wants to. Any designs made through the contest that do not win may be used as a adoptable (we will notify the creators of said designs and if they wish to enter they will recieve a boost to their forms).

Rules:
1. DO NOT claim the species as your own.
2. Follow the breed standards
3. Do not remove the NOT A REAL CMD (unless specified by me)
4. You can not keep any of the designs you make for this contest
5. Be kind and courtious
6. All CS rules apply
7. Do not enter if you are not going to commit (see the artists topic for artist requriments)
8. Do not copy any of the already existing designs (or any one else's designs)

Breed Standards:
Height: CMD's height ranges from 17-25hh

Coloration: CMD's can have any nauturally occurring coat color that horses can. Their markings can consist of stripes, dappling, spots(appy), paint, and almost any natural pattern. They always have some sort of white on their face(it can be as small as a dot or the entire head). It is extreamly rare to find one without any white on its face.

Eyes: Their eyes are always bright or light. Meaning they don't have dark gren, blue, ect. They very rarely have grey eyes.

Males: Males always have shorter, thicker manes and heavier feathering. They also have chest fur and chin fur.

Females: Females have long mane and tails than males.

Temperment: CMD's are usually very docile when they don't feel threatened; however, due to their massive size they are extreamly deadly when attacking or defending.


Things to keep in mind:
Your design has to have white on it's face!
Your design does not have to be a paint! (look through the adoption page you'll see other designs)
You should ALWAYS use the face view lines! (they are there to help people see the design)


Prizes

1st Place:
- You get to keep one or more of your designs (official number to be announced)
- You get to make a max of two personal customs (not including horse design you keep)
- You become a full artist for the CMDs
- Instead of the traditional 5 extra CMDs you will be able to own an additional 7

2nd Place:
- You get to keep one of your designs (your choice)
- You get to make a max of one custom CMD (kept design doesn't count)
*- You will be a guest artist (will get to make 5 CMD adopts thats two more than normal)
- You will be able to own an additional 3-5 CMDs
- You have the possibility of becoming a full artist (*in which case you will skip the guest artist portion above)

3rd Place:
- You get to keep one of your designs (will be the one you won with)
- You will be a guest artist (will get to make 5 CMD adopts thats two more than normal)

Honorable Mentions:
- You will be a guest artist (3 CMDs can be created)

- You will be allowed to keep both of your designs if you want.

-You may keep one of your design's (please be sure to add the facial view to whomever you pick)
-you will be a guest artist (after you finish your five cmd adopt's me and the other artists will discuss the possibility to be an artist)
-You can own an additional 3 CMD's

Permanent Artist Challenge:

Requirements:

-Must be a CMD artist
-Must own atleast 1 CMD
-You can have as many attempts as you want, but you can only use one color-in i.e. you have to edit the original design



Ok heres what I want you to do:

You can do one of two things

1. Create a pefect mate for Vintage (good luck it will be hard)
2. Create a extreamly complex CMD that has a very unique facial mask while staying within the breed standards



If you succed at one of those you will be awarded the title of a permanent artist.
- you will beable to create as many customs as you can have
- you will never be removed from the artist list
- you will be allowed to own an additional 10 CMDs
- other perks to be determind


The CMD created may be kept by me(either option) or may be kept by you(2nd option) if successful. If you decide to take the 2nd option you will get the chioce, but not for the 1st option.


This is ment to be difficult to obtain, but I wish you luck and have fun with it!
