But, anywho, I was wondering who would be judging, and it came to me and another user that it would be a bit more fair if the entirety of the Fan base could vote on the winner. As long as they aren't entered themselves, of course.
This would help increase interest for the species I believe, since it would promote activity afterward as well, and it would involve the entire community, not just people who can draw lines for the species and shade~
Of course, it's just an idea, do with it what you will~The only problem with that is... popularity will defiantly play a role so it'd be unfair to those who are not as popular//well known as someone like kiley or Pachoofoosh no matter what the actual end product or skill set shown >///<I understand that much. But, the I think the more active members of the community understand that JMds deserve good lines, even if they're done by an unknown artist at the time. I think lumpin should give some of the more unheard of artists here on CS a chance to become more well-known.
@lumpin; Maybe a bit more than that. Three's a tad small, and it would narrow it down a bit too much I think. Five, depending on the number of entries, might be good enough. From what I've seen though, perhaps having multiple rounds of voting due to the large interest and entries might be better...
{{I'm just throwing out ideas here. JMDs have an active, very well informed, and fair, and welcoming community- So I was hoping no one would take offense to the suggestion of doing something like open-voting.}}
