To hold an oekaki competition you need to provide either a lineart or a proper background. A proper background features scenery and/or items, and colour-fills and gradients like the one you've provided aren't considered to be a proper background. If you want to keep your competition in the oekaki competitions board, then you'd need to change the background, otherwise it'll be moved to the general art competitions board.
