I don't think that question really needed to be asked or answered.
Saikiyo chose the designs and artists that they liked most, and they are now in the 'final' for places, and their corresponding prizes. If your name is in one of the lists above, I'm guessing Saikiyo did like your art. That is not however to say that they didn't like any of the art that will not place.

for each rule that is broken, i take 5 points off

design:

8 really pretty, but the head is way more complex then the body and it throws of the balance a bit

6 really cute and happy, but the swirls are a little sloppy



color:

9 great color choices, black and many shades of red (some standing out more than other, great dimension)

7 brown and cream go nicely together, but the colors are pretty simple, but nice shading on the body


quality

6 it's very nice, but a bit simple, could have a bit more depth

7 all lines are all very smooth, cute ears
