Hmm..I'm thinking (don't use this, my idea only) some blues, browns, maybe a little pink, and some black, with a bit of something (steampunk and armor) to add some differences to it.

Sounds fantastic(: I can't wait to see it(; If you'd like, if the character has a lot of complicated markings / markings where the armor is, you can just do another ref with only the armor on it (you don't have to actually color the character again)
