This is a competition to find three artists to help with breeding Starries. Please read all the information regarding the Starries species on the Main Page and in the Fanclub. In regards to breeding, read all the information in the breeding center before coloring the images here.

Rules

1. Do not break any rules of CS (including art theft), Starries, the breeding center, or this competition. Any such occurrences will be reported and will get you a ban from making any Starries in the future.
2. Only two entries max per person. That means you can make up to four pups that could be a result of the parents (below) total.
3. You may not keep your entries/claim them as characters, etc until the competition is over. Once it has ended, you may deal with your Starry as you please - within the rules set up by Vineta; this includes donating to Starry Centér.
4. No complaining, whining, etc if you do not get chosen to fill one of the three spots. Others may be asked later to join the breeding artist staff if there is high enough demand - which means you could be contacted to join the staff (as there likely won't be another competition).
5. No 10-minute entries please. Please put actual thought into these ^^'
6. More may be added if necessary.

Prizes

There will be no pet or C$ prizes awarded. The top three designers will get positions as permanent artists in the breeding center/nursery for Starries - which does offer some payment as a job on CS. Please be aware of this fact if you plan to enter.

This will end on the first of September (9/1/13) at 8pm EST. I may end it with fewer or more artists if I feel the need is less or more than previously expected.

The Couple

You are to breed This male and This female.
Male's hex codes - Base (043a6a) ; Mane/Tail (6bbaff/ffffff) ; Markings (fec04f) ; Eyes (3c2601) ; Stars/Galaxies (ffa100)
Female's hex codes - Base (e2e2e2) ; Mane/Tail/Eyes/Back Feet Galaxies (260034) ; Spots (65008e/c000b6) ; Stars (60e9fe) ; Foreleg Galaxies (65008e)

Meant to post this at the start of the competition, but you are permitted to do line edits on this - such as mane/tail alterations, ear modifications, claws, longer/shorter fur, etc - as there can be recessive genes involved that are received from both parents. However, I'm not looking for mutations - like horns, antlers, or limb alterations - nor am I interested in seeing any accessories; this is because these are only available via winning in an event, and since the parents don't have these the pups most definitely won't - as mutations and accessories are considered to be dominant genes/passable traits.

If this doesn't make sense or isn't clear enough, please ask me either in this forum or via pm; I'd rather you check with me in regards to edits than do it and end up disqualified because you failed to understand what I was looking for/allowing.

It is also preferred that you have at least one half of pups you design be unedited; so basically one of two OR two of four can be edited in whatever way you want, but the other two should just be on the regular lines. However, it isn't required that you edit any pups at all - merely an extra option for those who want to do so.

That wouldn't be a problem. It's just to give people a chance at doing breedings. And I'd say as long as you do two breedings for every paid adoptable, it'd be fine if you could only a few a month; rarer than that, and if you got hired, we could figure something out. I'm pretty flexible~ ;3

Entries look amazing so far! If the entries keep being like this it'll be hard to just choose three people (if more people enter at least >.>)

Also don't forget, you can enter up to two times if you get more ideas before the end date~

This contest's end date has been bumped to September 22nd, and will have judging begin on the 23rd (my birthday). Any artists who have entered that would like feedback may post here and I will comment on there entry's page~
