Doestar met Ratwood when they were only "Fawn" and "Ratkit", meaning their bond goes way beyond their experiences.
She will never forget the day she met the wonderful tom that may have changed her life forever.
Fawn followed her father through the prickly foliage, ending up in a clearing with tall grasses and a few cats. The rust looking she-cat had left, somewhere, and Fawn had to take a moment to get used to the bright area. A tall black tom padded up to her and her father, greeting them in a rather friendly manner. After Fawn introduced herself, her mind started to wander, looking into the trees and the talking be drowned by the swaying melody of the grasses. Suddenly her eyes picked up another moving figure, certainly smaller. Snapping out of her daydreaming, she looked over to spot a young tom, probably around her age and size, curiously peering around the darker tom's leg. He simply mewed a quiet "H-Hello", certainly directed at Fawn as the older cats were too busy talking to notice. She greeted back, "H-Hi. I'm Fawn", deciding to speak to the tom, bored of her own mind wandering. "I'm Ratkit", he squeaked back before taking a look at her rather large ears. "Why are your ears big?" he asked. Fawn huffed at his question, her ears weren't big- "Well, why are your ears small?" she replied, questioning the same feature as he did. He sat silently, contemplating the question, "I don't know." His paw lifted and his tail twitched happily, "Well, I like your ears better. I bet you could hear the whole forest!"
A bit confused at the sudden complement, Fawn laughed. This tom certainly is something else.
