Story:

carien was born(or hatched...) a loner. he was always the one sitting alone, or flying in lazy circles without another soul in sight. he was flying one night when he heard a careening cry. he flew down to see what it was. he was shocked to see a saber, laying on the ground, all alone in the forest of the griffons, forbidden to sabers. it seemed terrified, and he looked the way it was looking, and saw a very terrifying sight.

your gryphon is practicly invisible on my home computer XD, anyway, if you look up on Deviantart there is a few good wing tutorials, and not to mention a real good ones that i reference quite often. As for a crest..hmm..all i can do to help ya there is say to look at my two examples (one on my lines, one on my fire gryphon) to get an idea...
