salem's horn is all black because of his curse mark, yep even in pony form he STILL cannot escape being cursed
dream's design is REALLY simplified, i tried to simplify all the designs because i wanted them to Feel like MLP, not just be MLP-shaped if that makes sense? ik i still included a lot of details on some but... i hope they look Passible?
i decided to incorporate dream's teadrop/mood markings as their cutiemark though I know that's kiiind of a cop-out since i didn't have to come up with a new cutiemark for them. but without the droplets as their cutiemark i couldn't find a way to put it into their design? and the droplets feel important to them as a character now.
additionally since dream is a fallen angel i thought making them a former alicorn would be cool
seadream being a changeling is fun because she's cannonically a siren/kelpie hehehe < 3 they have very similar vibes and i thought it was a very fun and accurate inclusion
spooksy is a bat pony because IT'S SPOOKY and also because it allows her to have wings and a horn without being an alicorn-- she needs to have magic for her illusions power to work but she usually has wings and it would be Weird for me to see/draw her without them, so compromise and again-- very accurate also because of the vibes!
spooksy has the most markings and that's because they're painted on! spooksy's spiral cheeks, stitch mouth, and heart mark are paint on her pony form! i incorporated the white as markings because her usual form has a mark that always reminded me of a horse's forehead blaze, so it felt appropriate. i kept her clown makeup because of course i did < 3
