I. Red Velvet + Powder Sugar Roan
Creates one to four white "streaks" from the cheek to the haunch, similar to the icing within a red velvet cake. Streaks may be broken, dripped, jagged, etc. Observed to be a special mutation of reverse brindling. It is often accompanied by Powder Sugar Roan and a slight reddish hue.
II. Ganache Dipped
A form of somatic mutation, this marking must be darker than the base coat. Can be jagged, dripped, broken, etc. Ganache refers to the upper part of the horse being covered, while Dipped refers to hooves/legs being covered. These two markings can be seen separately.
III. Love Spell Sooty
A variation of the stysty gene, this causes the dapples within to form love hearts. Usually fades at the top of the withers and the barrel, creating a whisp-like look.
IV. Salted Truffle
This marking has many three primary genes that come into play. This includes, but is not limited to, a lighter hue underneath (truffle), unusual snowflake appaloosa markings (salted), and a drizzle-like marking ontop (drizzle).
V. Caramel Ripple
A mutation of the brindle gene, this markings creates a "swirl" found anywhere on the body. Expresses on all coats, but must be a lighter "brown/golden" shade than the body.
VI. Lace Collar
A version of the Collared gene, this marking creates a "lacy" looking marking. Expressed on all coats, usually seen in lighter creams or whites, sometimes light greys. Common on the lower neck, however it may express anywhere on the legs too. Lace design varies.
