It was something his parents gifted to him when he was very young. Only a few years later, he ended up losing his parents when they fought in a large battle to protect the king. This only increased the value of the necklace to him even more. He grew up to carry on the job his parents did. Every day he proudly wears the necklace given to him in honor of them.
