The day Periwinkle was born, it was the time that the snow juuust started to melt - her mum was sleeping, tired, but her dad was wide awake. He picked her up, holding her in his paws. Periwinkle put her paw onto his nose, and fell asleep.
He layed Periwinkle inside the (full of periwinkles) grass, and saw how pretty she looked with them. When Willow (Rain's wife and Periwinkle's mum) woke up, Rain told her his idea; naming their new baby Periwinkle. Willow thought it was a great idea, and so Periwinkle's name was Periwinkle.
