The okapi gene can be 2 ways;
- 1 - A non-genome type marking, like brindle and lacing
- In this form, Okapi Darkens the back legs, and adds white stripes/bands to the front and back legs in a somewhat similar pattern. It also greys the face and a little bit of the neck area to give a pseudo-pangare look.
- 2 - A genome marking [Okok/OkOk]
- Heterozygous [Okok] (Which I've added to the drawing!)
Okok would display only the white stripes and banding, and they would also only ever appear on the mid/lower part of the trotters legs. No graying or darkening would occur.
Homozygous Dominant [OkOk]
Exactly the same as how described above. :)
