personality: oakmist is a very impatient cat, and he has a small temper. though his temper only displays when his patience runs ragged thin, it is more of a slow vengeance type of temper than an explosive one.
history: oakmist was born a kit named oak. his family lived in the middle of a forest, and an oak tree was what he was born under. he doesn't have any siblings, and was raised to survive, no matter what. despite his parents pressing the fact that he should take care of himself, and only himself, oak found himself caring for the other cats in the forest. they were well hidden, every family was, but oak always found his way to the neighbor kits' den.
when oak was eight moons old, as was the family tradition, he was dumped on his own and given a few choices. find a mate from a respectable family's den and settle down nearby, explore the world and find a mate in a wanderer (the loner code word for well...loners) or become a housepet and be forever shamed.
oak decided to be a wanderer for a while, and explored the woods until he finally decided to settle down. instead of looking for a mate right away, oak, around thirteen moons, decided to continue living on his own. he remained by himself until he dreamed of cats with stars in their pelts.
after his dream, oak made his way deeper into the forest until he found the group calling themselves kwamiclan. after meeting the kami, ragingsoul, oak was renamed to oakmist and welcomed into the clan. he had a bit of trouble early on getting used to the new name, as well as all the strange terms, but he slowly started to figure things out. a while later, he was named as the mentor for young tumbleshine, which would show itself to be a problem later on. tumbleshine has a bit of a learning disability, and oakmist failed time and time again to teach him even the barebone basics of hunting. as such, oakmist has barely any relationship with his former cadet, and somewhat loathes him and lambfur, the white furred warrior who was finally able to teach tumbleshine enough he could earn his guardian name.
It is highly unlikely he will ever take a mate, but if he does he wants them to be as adventurous as he is.
