[Sunny's Petz]

"Yes mother," Angel said as she finished walking to the end of the branch. She knew her mom was just trying to keep her safe. But she was a bear! "And bears can climb trees," she told herself quietly. She looked at her mom below. Sunny's big yellow sun was gleaming in the warm light. She knew that if she could see her own, it would be doing the same thing. She loved Summerland. It was winter in the human world, but here the sun shone golden light all year long. She looked again at her mom's worried face. Angel gave a little sigh, wondering if she should remind her mom that the tree was only 6 feet high. Instead she climbed back down the tree and sat down next to her mom. Instead of a hug or a kiss, she got a thorough grooming. Her mother's tongue combed her thick fur into place along her back. It's better than having her freak out, she told herself. As she dozed off in the summer sun, she thought about whether or not this fairytale meadow would ever end. I'm just being silly. she thought with a yawn. That's impossible...
