I haven't drawn a wolf in years and idk how much this will help you, but my tip is to make the body long and to make sure to give them a sort of mane to distinguish them from a normal doggo. Also try to get away from making just a circle for the head, like I started with drawing the snout and made a more square head. If you need to get a reference of a wolf on screen, there's no shame in using a ref. Also you're added in case you want to see it better or use them for something.
In case you're wondering I drew this with a laptop mouse pad, the opacity at 255 max, and the smoothness around 40-50. Smoothness can do wonders to lining.
