Eckhart is a very private tom cat who doesn't like people to know his business, although he will pry out secrets from others. He is either Beatrice's friend, reluctant co-worker or future love interest but possibly not. Generally it goes he ends up mixed up in her investigating and follows her everywhere to help out of insatiable curiosity, however it takes them a bit o actually become friends as Eckhart isn't very friendly.

He has no business in the royal affairs and moved away with his brother, Fabrizio, when he did. Fabrizio is the only person he hold loyalty too and they are littermates.
