Melanthe stood out because she had both melanism and bright orange eyes.
Arian stood out because he was an albino - blinding white fur and ice cold eyes.
They became mates because they found refuge in each other, they felt like they were a part of something, like they were beautiful, like they were important, like they were loved.
Here are their pups, from left to right:

Kai: Male, normal gray fur but brown eyes (from Arian's side). Loves the water and his parents.

Laksha: Female, an albino (direct gene from Arian) and is blind (a common effect of albinism). Very sweet and is actually a fierce fighter if you mess with her (Melanthe taught her).

Alfonso: Male, normal gray fur and normal golden eyes. Fiercely proud of both himself and his family and will stand up for them if they are picked on.

Ignatius: Male, normal gray fur but orange eyes (direct gene from Melanthe). Is sometimes a reckless little rascal, but no a bad guy at heart.

Alvar: Female, melanistic black fur (direct gene from Melanthe), and normal gold eyes. Is very shy but really sweet if you get to know her.

Chektor: Male, normal gray fur but brown eyes (from Arian's side). Is a chubby little fellow that loves to snack and is very sweet and eager to please. Isn't always the smartest but is very lovable and always tries his very best.

A quick search of "can albinos have blue eyes" shows you that that is not always true!
For example:
"Most organisms with albinism have blue eyes, and others have brownish eyes. In some cases of albinism, their eyes might appear pink or reddish. This isn't because the iris (the colored part of the eye) is pink or red. It's because the iris actually has very little color and you can see the blood vessels beneath the eye."
