Goodness, this one is absolutely gorgeous!! I'm not seeing the flecks that tend to make a roan a roan, it looks more like a chestnut to me. I would say jut experiment around with the scattering tool on both the pen and the eraser, as well as the airbrush tool to blend things in some. Just some suggestions, this entry is beautiful nonetheless!

thank you for the feedback, I knew it looked a little too.. I guess smooth? definitely going to experiment and do more with her coat.

Edit: I flecked the coat and legs, added red hairs to the star and grey ones near the nose, I'm working on lightening near the muzzle once more, making it more of a grey black transition ^^

I love how the Roan turned out. The markings are great, and the mapping is wonderful. I do feel that your tail is a bit too white. I use #eeeeee for my white makrings/tail/mane color.its a more off white to make the highlighting show without being unrealistic.
