the ledged of the handprint overo~
"in the early breeding of the walkers, a mare was purchased. by her purchase, the owner laid their hands upon the mare, and blessed her, with her offspring bearing the handprints so that anyone should know to whom the foal was descended from. the handprint color is based off the coat, it is always a darker version of the coat, except in black, in that case it is lighter. it can be a paint marking and come in white and a chimeric marking coming in black. the original mare was a Chestnut, standing 17hh, and she proved to be a wonderful hunter. It is said her hunter skills have passed to a few carrying her blood, although this is just myth, and has yet to be proven"
