"In 1974, the Rhino was the national LGBT symbol worldwide. They selected this animal because, although it is sometimes misunderstood, it is docile and intelligent – but when a rhinoceros is angered, it fights ferociously. We thought that the thread needed a mascot, so Broken Lace made one.
Gary the Rhino is the Mascot of the LGBTQ+ Alliance on CS. The name Gary uses the letters G, A & Y, which we thought was perfect for the club, and the R for Rhino. Gary is a grey Rhino - grey to represent a blank canvas, creativity and individuality - with a rainbow horn and a heart on his left flank. The rainbow horn displays the pride flag and the heart for love. April 13th is Gary's birthday.
In order to show our support and pride, we encourage everyone to make their own Rhino-sona! There are several different methods you can employ, from Oekaki color-in lines, to .psd and .sai lines or create your very own rhino from scratch. Just don't forget the heart on your rhino's flank! Here we will showcase a Rhino at a set interval. "
I'm Joe, a pansexual transgender boy. This is my Rhino-Sona.
