How did she loose her sight?: grace was always curious, perhaps too much. As a foal she seeked adventure, she wanted to see more than her pasture allowed her. She was a very small draft foal. However, this was to her advance, when her mother has asleep she was able to creep under the fence and sneak out. She was never able to get far due to her mother calling her back or other mare catching her. That was until one fateful night she manage to get without anybody catching her. The filly found her way into the near by woods. She was overwhelmed by all of the new sounds and sight. Grace spotted a small fawn among the brush. She nickered at the odd looking horse. Another thing about her is that's she playful. Being that she was so small the larger foals played too rough with her. But the fawn she just her size. Grace quickly learned the fawn was of similar nature. So the two began to play and run around. She was so intent on frolicking around with her new friend she didn't catch sight of briar patch in front of her. She tried pulling herself out however the briars had wrapped around her leg. The filly began to panick and thrash around, only making the matters worst. She cried out to try to get her mother's or other mare's attention at least, she couldn't hear her. By that time the filly was hopelessly stuck. The fawn stayed with her until her own mother came to get her. In the morning, when the owners were meet with a panicking mare. They quickly reliazed one the foals was missing. After a long time of searching they managed to find the lost filly. She had serval bad cuts and sores lining her body as well as on her nuzzle and eyes. She was quickly rushed her the barn and contacted the vet. Between the injury and later infection and contracts, she lost her vision.
