Personality: She is very energetic, loud, and a bit brash at times. When she is assigned a job, she wants to do it right and certainly cannot take a joke. She is fiercely loyal to her humans, and will accompany them on any hunting mission. When near her human, especially if he is injured, she will become docile unless provoked, licking where ever his wound is and patrolling around him or laying on him, depending on the situation.

Backstory:

How did they get separated from their parents?/How did they get adopted?

Well, it was one absolutely beautiful afternoon and Valen decided that it was a good day to learn how to 'hunt'. So she wandered off, away from her parents and siblings. She finally found a bird and was chasing noisily after it. She wasn't looking where she was going so she tripped on some tall grass and stumbled into a bush. A nearby hunter heard her whining and went to go see what injured animal was nearby. He finally found her and took her out of the bush. Poor Valen was covered in scratches, dirt and had soar paw pads. So the hunter took her home and cared for her, eventually falling in love with her. He kept her and later when she was big enough, he trained her to hunt. Shes been with him ever since.

Despite being alright with guns, other loud sounds scare this boy...He is friendly with their cats, but afraid of some others. And he LOVES to run.

Backstory: How he got adopted
Dodge whined to himself, wondering how it was that they had gotten here...He, and some of his family, had been taken in by humans and were now at a rescue. He looked around for his mother, finally seeing her, however he did not see Father, big, strong Father...He hoped that the male was alright and nothing bad had befallen the others. He hadn't seen Valentine yet, so he hoped she was alright too...Come to think of it, he hadn't seen her in a bit even before they were snatched away...Shaking his head, he glanced up as a kind voice reached his ears, seeing a lovely young redhead there. She knelt nearby, and soon with soft words and gentle sounds of encouragement she had gotten him to come to her. She adopted him, named him Dodge, and they've been together ever since.

I remember how I used to play with Valen and the others...Those days seem so far off. What I remember is how one or the other of us would always pretend to be prey, so we could take turns honing our hunting skills. When it was her, she always hid on purpose to make it harder, because prey animals many of them normally hide. If it was me, I would run and zig zag all over the place to mirror a rabbit, because often that was the animal that we would find ourselves hunting. As I remembered, the pretty redhead that had adopted me, Jessie, whistled for me and Rosa, a red Golden Retriever. I hummed a dog's sound that was almost a hum, shaking my head, and flicked my tail as I raced to her side, Rosa not long there after me. We headed out into the woods, following her father as he joined us at the front door, Rosa and I sniffing and scenting at everything which we could. Rosa barked at Jessie as she whistled to us, directing us along a small pathway beneath their tree stand. She and her father climbed up, and I scented around and finally saw a young dear. Tail flicking, I gave a quiet bark and did my little dance signal. The two humans took aim, but the deer got away... Seeing a rabbit and an avian, I did the dance again, and they got these ones. Rosa brought the bird back, and I brought the rabbit. We returned home with our prizes.

Personality:
Delilah is generally very courteous and she rarely ever takes risks now that she has puppies. Though that doesn't mean she isn't ambitious in her goals of making sure that they grow up well and strong. This can make her a very curious gal, because she wants to know every little detail that goes on in their lives, but she is usually able to keep it under control. To be honest she isn't very trusting of new people, but once she is sure she can rely on you she will definitely show off her loyal, nurturing side. Once you get to that point she is really affectionate and it will be hard for you to get rid of her. But trust me, do not mess with her babies, whether they are her own or otherwise.

She lives in a small apartment where she is loved and cared for.

Backstory:
Delilah was losing her pups one by one. Their father was gone now too. They aren't dead, no, far from it. They are being taken off of the streets and being put in homes that she could only dream of providing them. There was only one left. One day she had to go and find something for her remaining pup. When she returned she was startled to find a boy kneeling by her baby. She growled lowly and the boy turned around, slightly anxious. Delilah advanced on the boy slowly, to try to intimidate him into leaving. The boy coos a bit, trying to appear calming and less threatening, and he cautiously held out a closed fist to on-edge Delilah. Delilah took a hesitant sniff and after a while of getting familiar with the smell, she permitted the boy to give her a scratch behind the ears. She gave the boy what could be seen as a smile while she held her gaze on her small pup. They didn't seem to be distressed, so she was a little less worried. The boy got up and said a few words that she did not understand, but she was curious as to where he was going. She picked up the pup and followed him, not right behind, but close enough to keep him in her sights. Little did she know, that decision will allow her and her pup to have a better life. Even when the pup grew up and went to another home, she felt that they were all finally happy.
