Ambrier was raised by an odd family, and has been surrounded by many different ideas and personalities. His mother is laid back and has a heart of gold while his father is strict and old-school. Ambrier's siblings were also odd, but they all had one thing in common. They weer unique individuals who turned their back on what was "normal" in society. They found new and creative ways to stay entertained and didn't do something just because everyone else was doing it.
Ambrier was no exception to this. He is artistic and creative, and always thought things through. His strengths are in mathematics and similar subjects and excels on an intellectual level. However, his common sense is quite... nonexistent. Generally he is very laid back, not talking much to strangers unless he finds something particularly interesting to say. He will never start a small talk conversation with cliches like "how was your day so far?" Instead, he'll point out someone's unique style and talk about that. Because he rarely starts conversations, strangers never know just how interesting he could really be with his philosophies and opinions about the world. Those who talk to him almost get "addicted" to his words, and he can hold a conversation for hours.
When he was young, Ambrier had social issues. Not many saw him as unique. They preferred the term "weird" and bullied him rather than accepted him. He eventually shut himself out from the world and created his own artistic fantasy, finding life was much more fun in a make-believe world where you were accepted than the real world where you were an outcast. As he grew, so did those of his generation. Now, Ambrier can live out his happy fantasy in the real world, since he has found his style and shows it off without a care who hates him for it. His real friends accept him, and strangers now find him interesting regardless of him past.
Ambrier travels in a pack alongside his mate, Faustus. Anyone who bats them the dirty eye gets it right back. They are quite happy together and don't need the public's support to continue their love.
