- this girl has finally received a complete overhaul after three years (three!) of complete inactivity. she hasn't been drawn, RP'd, written about, or touched at all for years up until this point. she's been way up on my revamp list right behind other slightly older characters such as Violet, Midnight/Lunar, Tigerlily, Ashley, Crystal/Krystal, Bella, and Diamond/Sophie for ages- all of which have been inactive since at least 2012, some of them like Bella, Ashley, and Krystal dating way back to last being used in late 2010. all were among the first characters I created. unfortunately, revamping Skylar was out to the side for far too long because much of my time was dedicated to Tigerlily, Ashley, Violet, and Lunar, for the most part, because they were in the most desperate need of complete overhauls whereas Skylar, Bella, etc. had at least a little "ok" bits to them that I could work from. but Skylar has sat collecting dust for far too long and it's only fair that since Violet, a character who made her first appearance exactly a month after Skylar- July 2011, who's been inactive for equally as long, now has a completely new design and character + been given the staring role in the Fear Asylum & Paradise Park universe and an entire ark of her own in The Defiance + a co-staring role, thanks to her connection to the main character (Lucifer), Skylar receives the revamp she's needed for so long.
Skylar has been modified to fit in the best with The Defiance universe. while her origins were in the RPverse and she was most often written about in the Pokémon universe, it's not very likely she will ever return to either of them because I have no interest in creating more stories for her origins in the other worlds (I've still got others to revamp!). however, there are plans for her to make an appearance in Pixelverse. I don't plan on giving her an ark of her own, but as the only complete ark decided is Violet's, she'll possibly be a contender for the main character of the Apocalypse ark after Violet's ark, the Beginning Ark, is finished and Pixelverse moves on to Phase Two. I have no plans for her in any other universes at the moment, but that doesn't mean she won't ever make an appearance in any of them. though her only possible important roles are in The Defiance and Pixelverse, she may still have minor roles in other universes or appear as somewhat of a "guest" or stock character. the only universe I can guarantee Skylar will never be involved in in any way is the Medievalverse, because the lore of it all is pretty much completed and every ark from the Queen of Insanity, to the Rise of the Twisted King, to the Corpse Queen, to the Haunting, to the War, to the Wastelands, to the Apocalypse ark are completed and focus on other characters such as Veronica, Lucifer, Violet, Nirvana, Phillip, Enophe, and Jay. there's really no place for any characters not already included in the Medievalverse to fit in.
as for RPverse, it's unlikely but it might happen based on how fast I can work on Tigerlily some others.
to make up for my negligence, Skylar will play an important role in The Defiance, assisting Phillip on his mission to capture The Unity's central A.I keeping their main base cloaked (M-AI-D344 "Melanie") by working undercover and reporting back to the Eastern Faction with essential info. she may also have her role expanded further and play somewhat of a sister role to Philippa.
