- Man, I have to say losing a part of the family is hard.
Really hard.
I lost my dogs Sidney and Zoe years ago, both in the same year, but I can't say I've ever "gotten over" their deaths like people say you will.
And Daisy... I'm sure she was loved as much as she could have in her years. My own dog Sidney(pictured above) died of tumors as well, though at the age of 11. I'd like to think the two of them would have some sort of stories to share with each other, where ever their souls are right now <3
I also understand the whole best-friend thing, since I spent my whole childhood with Sidney. It's a devastating thing to go through, losing a best friend - it's like a part of your heart's missing, and everything reminds you of them. It's hard, truly, and I have yet to get find someone who isn't hurt when their loved one passes.
I had gotten another German Shepherd about five years ago, and we ended up naming her Bree. I expected her to be a lot like my own dog who passed, but she was completely her own self - independent, rowdy, and sassy as can be - but in her I felt the same deep connection and love I felt with my previous two dogs, and she's helped me heal from their passing over the years. Hopeful in time you'll be able to find something to help ease her passing, and I'm sure where ever she is she's looking after you and your family, мocĸιng jay.
