Even the world seemed to be mourning. The sky was dark and the moon and stars were hidden by the dark clouds.
As I walked, my wounds stung and burned with terrible pain. But the physical pain was nothing compared to the pain I felt in my heart.
Katriana was gone. And it was all my fault.
My last friend, the only person who'd ever stuck with me through think and thin, who trusted me and cared about me, was gone forever. And for once, there wasn't a thing in the world I could do.
