One morning you woke up and stretched, before glancing out the window and deciding you would go on a walk through the forest. So you pack a lunch, a book, and your hat. You step into the woods, but slowly you become aware of a change. An inconsistency in the air, a shimmer there, shadows too dark or too light, and some trees an ferns see through. You hear rustling in the brambles, but shrug it off.
Soon you stumble upon a clearing, and decide you are going to have your lunch, so you lean back against a tree. As you finish, a small dark colored she-cat approaches you. Something seems wrong with her, but you can't place it until you see her eyes. Her whites were shining white, yet her irises were almost black. She paws at your leg and points her tail to your right and meows. She starts over to a tree with vines hanging from it, glances back at you and meows again. She trots back to you and then to the tree. She wants you to follow. Will you see what this strange she-cat wants, or do you head back home?
You decide you want to see where she's going, so you start over to the tree. In a flash the she-cat has jumped through a small hoop in the vines and vanished. Uncertain, you step through the vines. You find yourself in a dark clearing in the trees full of haggard looking toms and she-cats with dark pelts and bright eye whites. The she-cat who led you here approaches you again.
"We have been stranded here and forsaken by our friends. Will you take one of us home?" the she cat pleads with you, her dark eyes looking sad. You are surprised that you can understand her, but your curiosity and pity get the better of you. You scan the circle of cats, but your gaze jerks back to a cat with a darker pelt than the rest. Their eyes were also darker, and they look very depressed.
As the cat slowly notices you staring at it, the cat's pelt slowly changes to a lovely orange tabby color, and it's eyes become yellow. Purring, the top winds around your legs and meows at you. You bend down to scratch his ears, all the while wondering what had happened to the cats. This one likes you, but you sense that he's not for you, for he goes back over to stand next to the dark she-cat who led you here. Her pelt lightens to a pretty grey with white points and bright blue eyes, and she purrs happily. It appears that they are good friends. You begin to roam the clearing, looking for a cat you can take home.
The Den is a small clearing filled with cats of all kinds. Feel free to take a few home with you, just remember that these cats have had a hard time, and aren't ready to take on the responsibility of a mate and kits. Keeping this in mind, each cat can only have one litter of kittens.
