Neither, he's a wolf-dog. I've actually got four characters I can think of, all of different species, named Axcel. The pony, the HD, the wolf-dog, and the werewolf
Now that I think of it, the pony needs a re-vamp... that's been on my to-do list for a while but I kept forgetting to update him
