This is my new MLP OC, Copper Dream as a pegasus. Originally she was a unicorn, but since this had no option to make a unicorn horn and I suck at drawing horns, I basically had no other option. So therefore, Copper is now a pegasus (but only for this color in).
So you must be wondering what the title means. Well, I was listening to the song: Wings by Little Mix and I came across this Sinking Pegasus Editable and decided to put my OC in a negative situation. After all, this does seem like a negative situation.
So basically, Copper Dream came across this strange pony while walking through the Everfree forest. The pony could make other's wishes and desires come true and that strange pony knew what Copper Dream's desires were. Her desires were to experience the life of a pegasus and to experience how flying was. The stranger gave Copper two options, to either live her whole life as a unicorn and never experience the life and flight of a pegasus or to give up her unicorn horn to be a pegasus for the rest of her life.
Obviously, the naive unicorn picked the second option. She was never really proud of her talent and thought of her talent to be useful to everyone but herself. After her decision was made, the stranger gave her this potion to drink and said that the next morning, she would wake up to find wings on her back and her horn was to be gone. Excitedly, the young unicorn drank the potion and rushed off back to her cottage.
The next day, the young unicorn woke up to indeed find wings on her back and her horn was no more. She went out to face the day as every other pony stared at her different change. Even though a lot of ponies liked her new change, she didn't know that the change wasn't a good change.
While going out for a test flight, she saw a canyon and inside that canyon, was deep rushing river that lead out into the ocean. She had a feeling that her wings were working well and apparently, she thought she was 'experienced' enough. And, one thing lead to another. Copper Dream wanted to dive bomb into the river just for the fun of it and trusted herself enough that she could get out of the river without drowning. As a result, she entered the water a bit to roughly and injured both her wings. The current was too strong and since she mostly depended on magic, she didn't know how to get out with just using her legs to push herself up. That was when she learned this:
"If you're always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be."(I don't know who wrote this quote, there was no signature or name to it.)
Oh, and don't worry, she doesn't die. It turns out that the stranger who gave her-her wings actually rescued her. She was teleported back to her cottage and found herself face to face with the unknown pony. This pony, never revealed her name, but had this one talent. To give others their desires and let them find out what bad things can lead to when their desires are granted. This talent is to help others learn that whoever they are, they must not change themselves. And with that, Copper Dream got her horn back and grew to be a wiser and more positive pony.
