Interview

I glanced in the mirrior back-stage and realized I forgotten my necklace, again. I
rushed back into my dressing room and grabbed it off the table by the door.
Fumbling with the clasp, I rushed back onto the set. "You ready? He'll be here
any second!" The crazed producer shouted. "Yes, I'm ready." I adjusted my
necklace as I looked straight into the camera. I heard the stage-side door open
and glanced over to see a Puffball with a coat of varied browns floating in.
"Well, should we get started?" He asked in an adorable British accent. "Yes," I
nodded to the camera-man who signaled that we'd go on the air in 3...2...1.
"Hello, I'm here with a very special guest today. Please welcome Mocha Cookie
Crumble Frappuccino! I looked over at the Puffball and smiled. He nodded and
smiled back. I raised my eyebrows, "That's quite the mouthful." He nodded
knowingly. "I get that a lot." I laughed, "I bet! Got a nickname?" He chuckled.
"Yes, Cino. But I've also gone by Cookie, Cooks, Crumble and Crumb." "So,
Cino. How would your friends describe you?" "Well, I've herd I'm passive,
reserved and strong-willed." "Ah-ha, and how you describe yourself?" He thought
a moment before answering, "I like to think I'm disciplined, brave, and caring."
"Wow, some big differences there." He shrugged. "So, what are some of your
favorite things?" Cino shifted uncomfortably and glanced at the ground, "I don't
know..." I smiled encouragingly, "Well, what are you good at? What do you like
doing?" Cino sighed. "Oh, whatever..." He said quietly. "Ye-es...?" "Oh, just
anything I'm asked to do." I could tell his friends were right about him being
passive and reserved. I didn't want to push him, but I was also quite curious. I
tried a gentler approach, "If you were completely alone, and didn't have any
chores or anything, what would you do?" Cino glanced around the room,
uncomfortable with the question. "I- I would probably..." I nodded excitedly, and
he sighed in resignation - He couldn't back out now. He lowered his voice, "I
would probably be doing target practice." He said, almost inaudibly. I beamed.
"That sounds like a blast! Are you any good?" He blushed, clearly surprised by
my response. "Yes, I'm quite good." He paused, unsure if he wanted to share
more. He nodded to himself, as if deciding he was comfortable opening up now.
"Would you like to see?" I nodded vigorously, "Oh, yes please!" Cino grinned as
he stood up and flew out the door. A moment later he returned with a little
laser-pointer and a robotic target. He quickly programmed the target, and it
hovered a moment before darting about. With great ease he tracked the
target's movements and shot it ten times before it froze mid-air and returned
to the ground. Everyone in the studio clapped generously and Cino ducked his
head, not used to the lavish praise. "Wow!! That was excellent!" I said as he
returned to his seat. He blushed slightly, "Aw, it was nothing really." He grinned
broadly, "You wanna give it a shot?" I smiled and shook my head. "Maybe after
the show. We have just enough time for one more question." Cino nodded, now
full of confidence. "What's your favorite food?" He chuckled, "I'm quite fond of
pineapple." "Me too!" Laughing, I stood up, "Well, thank you so much for joining
us tonight!" I looked back at the camera. "See you next week!!"
