Flaming Wings knew everything about the ancients, as her mother was taught by her bestfriend who talked to the ancients in his dreams. When Flaming Wings was born her mother had a vision of an owl, flying through the air, whose wings just caught on fire, but it kept flying. So her mother (Sonja) named her Flaming Wings.

Flaming Wings is in OwlClan. When Flaming Wings was a kit her mother told her to 'find her destiny'. Her mother told her to go to the beach. When she got there she met about 6-7 other kits. All named: Owl, Swan, Twilight, Sun, Dark, and Ember. They were just a group of kits until about apprentice age. Then they decided to form OwlClan, Owl being their leader. They decided to keep their loner names and not get Clan names.

At the first gathering they attended, Sonja watched, but was caught by her sister which joined the Clans instead of being a loner. Flaming Wings is excited to see her mother and greets her by asking her to be medicine cat, as none of OwlClan will.
