Humphrey shook his mane and looked down. "Dakota, Luna, Dusk, Butterball, Sunfire- Swift, Swift come here!" Humphrey muttered through gritted teeth. "Silly pups, go to your father." Humphrey's ears perked at a gentle feminine voice behind him. He turned. There was a golden-tan she-wolf ordering the six pups back to their father. It was Kate. "Yes, Momma!" The pups squealed in unison. Short, soft paws scrambled as the six pups ran over to Humphrey. "Look at those stars. See if you can find a constellation." Humphrey pointed to the night sky with his nose. The stars reflected in his eyes as a comet shot past. Three dark pups and three ginger pups squeaked as they tumbled over each other to get to their father and finally skidded to a halt at the edge of the cliff they were sitting on. "Eek!" Butterball jumped back a bit. "Daddy, whats a contalason?" Dusk asked, tongue rolling as he tried to get the word right, and then un-confidently stuck out his tongue, letting it hang from the side of his jaws. "Constellation. It's a pattern made of stars." Humphrey explained, twitching his ears and then gazing up at the sky, feeling the warmth of Kate padding over gently and sitting beside him. "Look! The big dipper!" Humphrey yelped excitedly. The pups followed his glistening gaze to the starry cluster. "Oooohhh!" "Cool!" "Wow!" The pups yipped. "Okay, now to howl." Kate said suddenly, smiling. "Tilt your head up, and well..." Kate smirked a bit and let out a beautiful howl. Humphrey's tail twitched and started swishing in long sweeps. He began to howl and created a song with Kate. The pups began to howl along in small, squeaky howls. They began to sing along with their parents. Humphrey paused and looked down proudly. He looked back up to the moon and smiled.
