Bi0drate




By 3095, an epidemic of organ failures has afflicted most of Equestria’s population, leaving small pockets of civilization left. When all other businesses fell and all emergency services were abandoned, a company raised above the rest, its name; Bio-tech. For a business to be built in such times was impossible, until Bio-tech was built. They not only provide organs but enhanced mechanical software and various bionic limbs that can be programmed to work with the body and they not only replace the defected organs/ limbs, but make that pony stronger and cable of things that your average pony would never be able to do.

There was a problem though. As all emergency services had closed, a new source of anaesthetic had to be found. Zydrate is a pale blue liquid substance made of pure memories, the stronger the memory, the more powerful the Zydrate. Once administered, the liquid does not make the pony unconscious but numbs the patient so he/she can feel nothing. It is injected into the pony in need of an operation via an injection through a gun like mechanism; this is where Bi0drate comes in. She is in charge of purifying the Zydrate into a usable source and she directs the other ponies on what to do. Every now and again as the boss of Zydrate purifying, she is given the opportunity to administer the substance into the patient which is a great responsibility.
Why was she given this job?

Her unique talent is being able to detect just by glancing, whether a vial of the liquid memories is strong or weak and therefore whether it should be kept for minor or major surgeries. She also has talent in designing bionic limbs. After designing her own legs, the boss of Bio-tech saw great talent in the young pony and as a hobby, Bi0drate loves designing new and improved limbs for the company to use.





Hard working and self-controlled, Bi0drate is great at her job and spends more time at work than at home and with friends. As a result, she does not believe in love and has absolutely no interest in starting a family. For why bother with the stress of raising young, when she can be a dedicated worker. Apart from this if she ever did get married, it would not be for love but as work partners who can support and rely on each other. Of course he would have to be well educated and smart though, she could not stand to have to permanently be around a pony who does not know the difference between Zydrate and the old-fashioned anaesthetic, even the thought would make her shudder!

She also loooves boasting about her beautiful bio-tech legs and how she is the one who designed them. You know that feeling when someone boasts and you just sit there agitatedly wondering when they’re just going to shut up? Well somehow, Bi0drate never causes that to the other ponies and they always just get drawn in until they are saying how beautiful they are too.

Overall, her best points are that-

You know you can always rely on her to get something done

{ talent;; } Terra is skilled at making automotive armored prostheses {automail}. Knowing all there is to know about automail, Terra is an expert, and makes these fake limbs to help ponies after they have lost a leg or arm.
{ personality;; } Terra is a rather cold and calculating individual. She is stoic and calm, and rarely speaks at all, however it's easy to get on this mare's temper. At present, Terra is highly intelligent and charismatic. When pressed, she is portrayed as an arrogant figure who holds her own extremely well against most adversaries. Though preferring to be on her own, she will not hesitate to help someone in need; after all, she does help those with missing limbs, does she not? Despite her short temper, she sometimes finds outlets of patience, and can become your friend quite easily. You can expect her to be a dark and negative individual due to both her past and prime persona.
{ history;; } It was immediate that her name was assigned: Terra, to the small blue filly wrapped in the blanket before the loving parents. Little did they know, the small mare before them had a deadly secret that left two choices: life or death.
Terra was a constant target of bullying and slander at school for using a wheelchair to get around. At birth, Terra's legs did not work. They were useless limbs that could not move, could not feel, could not work.
Her parents, both being experts in the medical field, decided to conduct an experiment with Terra: robotic limbs, or also called automail. Linked directly to the nervous system, an automail prosthesis does not usually require an external energy source, and can be moved at will like a natural appendage, taking electrical pulses from the nerves to power and regulate the various electric motors and pneumatic actuators inside. Automail limbs are generally made with a full steel skeletal frame layered with steel armor-plating to protect the various wires and intricate machinery inside; however, contemporary technological advancements have allowed certain automails to be comprised of other materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, chrome, copper-nickel and aluminum alloys, so as to be less cumbersome and more durable than steel in abnormal conditions. This allowed Terra to move with ease, no longer needing her wheelchair. Though was still picked on for her odd robotic legs, she seemed to not care very much, as Terra was rather happy with her new lifestyle, and decided that her line of working would be creating automail for individuals who needed it the most. Little did she know, that would be her cutie mark. Though wishing she was a unicorn so she could make the automail with much more ease, she is skilled at handiwork, and appreciates her talent.
