When the raging fire that destroyed her clan hit. Maiya had been out chasing Misty, attempting to get her back to eat, but failing. She'd always felt it was her responsibility to look after her younger sister, and had taken that responsibility very seriously. When the two had returned to camp, to find everyone gone, and everything blackened, and still smoking, she'd stayed strong, and kept her younger sibling safe, comforting her aand supporting her, as they made their way through unknown lands, trying to find a new place to call home.

Personality: Maiya has always prided herself in being cool, calm and collected, she has always managed to keep her temper down to a minimum around her sister, but as soon as she's out of sight of the young kit, maiya will take all her anger and frustration, out on the surrounding trees. She has never been an overly active cat, never using up more energy than needed, but ready to use it all if need be.
