Okay they didn't have the pups together. Autumn was 'raped' by a wolf before shadowfang met her and had three pups bulk golden and oak. Shadowfang adopted Shay from Autumn because they didn't get along. So when they became mates Autumn 'readopted' shay and shadowfang 'adopted' Autumn's three pups.
