Pup I Want:
Number One
Why I want this Pup:
Is it strange that I want a little son-character for my fursona? xP I dunno, guess so. But uh, I absolutely adore horns and owls, so he's just the perfect combination~
What I'll do with the Pup:
Force him to befriend my obnoxious know-it-all fursona, Ophelia, and attempt to motivate myself to create a story for them.
(I have a tendency to use new characters as motivation.)
Name of Pup:
Salazar (With a nickname of Al, of course, because the other kids make fun of his full name)
Gender of Pup:
Male
Personality:
Timid and generally shy when around people he isn't comfortable with, but is a know-it-all and temperamental when around his friends and family
Story:
Al was actually left on Lia's door when he was very, very young...

Story:
Al was actually left on Lia's door when he was very, very young...
Ophelia was snuggled comfortably in front of her brilliant fireplace, sipping hot cocoa while she focused on her favorite book, The Truth of the Matter, by her personal hero, Salazar Smith. She had wrapped the now-faded blankets around her, and was of course wearing her favorite rainy-day clothes, a baggy T-shirt and sweats. The gloomy weather always made her feel sleepy, and at the same time strangely energized. It was during one of the sleepy stages, as she was struggling to read her book, that she heard a meek rapping on the door.
Her eyes fluttered open, as she couldn't quite tell if there had been a knock on the door. But, five seconds later there was another tap, and so she untangled herself from her blankets, and stumbled her way to the front door. After unlocking the bolt, she flipped on the porch light and slowly opened the creaky door. Her eyes struggled to make out any outlines against the dark sky, and after fifteen seconds she realized that there was no one there. She called out, somewhat annoyed, "Hellooo?" But received no reply.
Exasperated, she turned her back and began to shut the door when she heard a peculiar sound; something like a hiccup. She stopped in her tracks and attempted to find the source of the sound, to no avail. After a few minutes of not moving, and listening, she discovered that it was coming from the top step, from a small basket with a blanket that was barely visible in the meek light.
Somewhat startled, she again called out, "Who's there?"
When she received no response, she decided to simply find out for herself. Timidly, she stepped forward, and after a mere seven steps, reached the basket. It was a simple basket, obviously hand-made with care, of pliable wood native to none of the neighboring towns. While she was inspecting, and pondering, over the origins of the basket, the hiccup was again heard. Unable to quell her curiosity, Lia knelt down and removed the yellow cotton blanket from within the basket. To her immense surprise, there was a small child inside! Hardly even a child, the pup looked as if to be only a few days old, a month at most. An urge overtook her, and she picked up the child and cradled it, all the while scanning the area for any signs of the child's mother. No such life could she find in her glances, and so, concerned for the health of the child, she returned to the warmth of her home.
She could not keep her concern for the mother at ease, however, and so called the local police to see if they might help her. They came over as soon as they could, and promised to initiate a full search of the area for any unfamiliar character. The chief happened to be a close friend of Lia's, however, and when she insisted that that the child stay with her rather than go to the police department, there were no objections.
It was only after the police had left that she un-swaddled the child from it's blanket, and discovered that the child was holding a string of beads. After this discovery, she noticed the smell of the child's diaper, and set off to find something to take it's place. During the process of changing the child's diaper, she discovered that the child was in fact a male. Throughout the night she cared for him, and for the next week in which her friends searched for the mother.
Two weeks later the final patrol of the night happened across an expired foreign female, which was soon revealed to be the mother of the baby staying with Lia. She has just recently fled from a violent town many hours away, and was determined to have passed away due to a combination of physical trauma from childbirth and abuse.
When Ophelia was informed, she was incredibly distraught. The poor child did not have a mother any longer, and the father was unknown. The child would have to be returned to the city it which he had been born, and would be introduced to the violence and corruption of the city his mother had fled from. Motherly instincts taking over, Lia inquired as to adopting the child. Her police friends promised to look into it, and requested she take care of him while they did so.
Some days later, the police informed Lia that the child had no record whatsoever in the town he had been assumed to have been born in. And none of the neighboring cities had a record of him, either. And so he would become a ward of the state, and could therefor be adopted, as there was no one to claim him. Without even needing to think about it, Lia requested the adoption papers, and within a day, had a son whom she named Salazar.

I apologize for the general lack of information. I'm sure you want to see a lot more. But, I don't want to get attached to him if I can't adopt him.
