There isn't really a lot to base designs on, unless you want a lot of spotted puppies. ^^ Maybe a character with more markings or more complex markings?

Ahhhhh~ well he Would be open for breeding, and only one or two of the pups have to be spotted.....

Open for breeding? I only do my characters here. And even if one or two of the pups were to be spotted, I wouldn't be able to design the pups off of much else so they would be fairy plain. Sorry.
