# of the Pup You want: Un gendered Pup 4
Name: Kitchi, which is a native American name for “Brave” it suits him down to the ground. He’s often nicknamed Kit or ChiChi by members of the pack, even KC sometimes, though very rarely.
Gender: Male
Why are you Adopting?:
First off I think it is -always- important that characters connect with you in some way, if you had a character you didn’t connect with it would be kinda silly. I only even apply for characters that I know I will love and look after, and that I really want, need, love.
I love the idea of this species, the history is wonderful and draws you in, makes you want to fight alongside the other warriors to bring peace and claim your lands. This pup caught my eye straight away, i didn't even notice the others. I fell for him the second i saw him, its his markings and colour's, his beautiful long tail. Everything about him calls to me. He could have easily been a female but there's something in his face that says male to me, strong proud and brave there's no way i could walk away and not try for this stunning wolf.
I'll make sure i look after him, get art and role play with him along side the other warriors. I look forward to bringing this beautiful creature to life when the rp is ready.

Personality.
Brave- his defining characteristic Kitchi never backs away from a fight, which can sometimes be his downfall as he refuses to give in to opponents. He is usually the first into any battle and never shies away from exploring anything or facing anyone. His bravery however is cautious, and though not afraid of anything, he is cautious enough to avoid serious trouble and is not foolhardy.
Strong - he's always pushing himself to his physical and mental limits, training himself in speed endurance and brute strength. He wants to be able to take on any opponent and win and makes sure that he is ready. He's all muscle and works hard to stay that way knowing he needs to be in top form to protect the pack.
Loyal- He loves his pack, or most of them anyway and will protect them with his life, standing by every member there and vowing to keep them safe from harm. He has a soft spot for the younger members and will often play with them and teach them things about the world around them.
Playful- despite his rough and ready fighter nature he does like to play, often enjoying racing the other wolves or tumbling around with the puppies, he has a dry sense of humor and sarcasm is no stranger to this wolf. He enjoys laughing and feels that fun has a big place in everyones life and is needed.
Proud- A big beautiful wolf with huge amounts of speed and strength and a lustrous coat he is very proud of who he is, without a moment of self doubt in himself. He stands tall with his chest out and his head held high. He wont let anyone tell him he isnt good enough or is weak.
Thoughtful - He often takes time to sit up on the highest hills and gaze across the lands, just thinking to himself, about anything and everything. He likes this quiet peaceful time alone to reflect on his life and to ponder many things. He does have a soft and sensitive side but it if often hidden by his bravado.
Likes- Sitting and watching the sun go down in the evening, laying under the stars and watching them twinkle, especially when there’s a full moon and it’s really bright. Laying in the sun and soaking up the rays, alone or with friends. Playing with the others wolves, preferably racing or wrestling but hide and seek was a favourite with the youngsters. Swimming, he likes to mess about in the water more so when its hot. Curling up under his favourite tree to snooze (when its dry!) and playing in the first rain of the summer. He also likes the smell of rain on hot ground and certain flowers, not that he admits that to the guys!
Dislikes- Kronadors, clearly these creatures aren’t his favourite. Feeling like he isn’t good enough, for the pack, or for anyone else. Storms, despite his brave attitude he isn’t keen on storms and prefers to stay dry and warm, it’s a lot to do with how they’re so noisy he cant hear much else. Not being able to see the stars, he feels a little lot when the nights are cloudy, he misses being able to lay on his back and watch the stars twinkle.
History- Kitchi was born with two other pups to a wise old warrior, she was a sweet and gentle mother and brought them all up with love and devotion. She kept them safe and warm and entertained with stories of their kin and the land beyond their den. Kit was the first to explore and the first to get himself into trouble, so his mother named him the word for brave. Growing quickly the pups play fought all day and spent the afternoons napping in the warm cozy den. As they grew they played in the outside more and more and Kit began to see the armoured wolves. As soon as he saw the big powerful wolves in their striking armour he knew he wanted to be like them one day. So he began running and leaping and play fighting with the others, training himself to be a strong wolf. Fearless he chased prey animals and explored caves, swum rivers and clambered up tree trunks.
He grew up a happy and well rounded pup well liked and playful, but with big ambition for the future and passion in his heart.
Introduction-
His eyes flashed shades of gold and amber in the dying light of the evening sun, the warmth of its rays fading slowly as it sunk lazily beneath the luminous pink and purple clouds of the horizon, the sky seemed to be on fire where the bright orange orbs light still touched it, blazing brilliant shades of red orange and yellow, and fading slowly to a light blues and purples behind the big creatures head.
A light breeze ruffled softly through his thick fur, the multi hued fur shinning as the colours moved in the wind. He shook his head and took a deep breath as he gazed upon the land before him, his home, his life and his family lived within these lands and here he would always protect them.
Long fluffy tail flicking from side to side he rose to all four paws and took a last look down at the grassy land below, the hill he stood upon let him gaze out across most of the warriors territory, the grass and trees and rivers that wound with the land, as old as time itself unchanged for many years. A low growl slid through his teeth as he thought of the enemies that, at the moment, he couldn't see. With a toss of his proud head he turned away and headed down the grassy slope, the night turning inky and dark behind him. Stars littered the night sky where clouds did not float and the moon lit the land in pale colour, making everything shades of pale blue, grey, black and in places almost white. Kitchi made his way down to the river and gazed into the dark water, flowing gently through the land and babbling happily to itself about whatever river secrets it held. Staring into his reflection he smiled, his eyes were luminous even in the dark and his fur was tinged light at the tips by the moon, he almost looked glowing.
The sun rose the next morning on a cloudless day, no breeze stirred the long grasses where Kitchi lay relaxed and waiting for the rest of the pack to wake, he usually woke early and this day was no different. Other adult wolves had been awake too, moving around washing themselves, eating and talking in low rumbles among themselves. He lay in the shade with his eyes half closed against the already hot sun. He stood a few moments later and padded over to the river, his paws scuffing the dirt lightly as he moved lazily.
As a teenage wolf barely out of his puppy days he had yet to receive his armour and this fact weighed heavy upon him and his teenage companions. One such came trotting up to him now as he drank gently from the cool water of the river. Her name was Catori, she was pale furred and the pair of them had been firm friends since puppy hood, their mothers having been friends too. Grinning widely she bumped her shoulder against his and plopped down on her hindquarters.
“Morning Kit” she said in a sunny voice her tail twitching absent mindedly behind her “how are you?”
“Same as always” he shot her a playful grin and shook his head, small drops of water flying from his muzzle fur, light glinted off the tiny drops and made them shine.
Stretching his back and yawning widely he started to pad along the river bank, nodding hello to the other wolves he saw on his way, only the soft thud of Catori’s paw’s against the sun baked ground let him know she was there. This was one of the reasons Kitchi liked her so much and the two of them spent so much time together, she didn’t force conversation and she didn’t feel the need to fill every silence with chatter. As they started to walk up the gentle grassy slope to Kit’s favourite spot in the world he wondered idly to himself when they would be getting armour, he looked forward to the day that he could join in the battle to recover the lost land of his pack, his ears flattened momentarily as he though about that. An eager smirk drawing back his lips from his dagger sharp teeth. As they drew towards the brow of the hill he swung his big head round slightly to eye Catori, suspicion lit her face but she only tipped her head to the left slightly, her pace never slowing at all. With an innocent smile and a flick of his long fluffy tail he jumped over the brow of the huge hill his huge paws leaping from the edge and his body dropping out of site over the edge. He heard a gasp behind him and laughed impishly, Catori bounded forwards her worried face peering over the grassy edge to see Kit skidding down the red, brown dirt of the hill wall. It seemed to stretch on forever and Catori gulped as she looked down, the ground seeming awfully far away from where she stood. She could see all of wolf land from where she stood, but Kitchi, head thrown back, laughing into the wind was skidding and bounding down the rough loose orange surface as if it was a small bank, with a smile, a sigh and a shrug she followed, yowling as she dropped.
Kitchi stuck his right paw out and skidded sideways, making loose ‘s’ shapes in the dirt, his claws raking through the loose earth and stones, helping him to spin out and grip. Laughing he pushed himself away from the wall, bounding down the wall before allowing himself to skid again. Catori drew up next to him and he laughed, his eyes sparkling with mischief. As the bank gently sloped back out to flat ground the two wolves found themselves slowing down and with a neat hop Kit landed easily on his paws as Catori sprawled out messily next to him.
“You. Are not funny” she panted getting shakily to her paws and sneezing a couple of times as the dust swirled around them.
Chuckling Kit started to trot ahead “you know you love the thrill I present in life, that’s why you hang around with me”
“Yeah right” Catori mumbled catching up with him in a couple of quick bounds, she eased back into a trot and kept easy pace beside him as they crossed the dusty bank. Ahead of them to the left grass stretched and curved round the huge hill leading back to the safety of the pack and the other wolves. The two of them headed to the left though where they would cross the river and hit the dirt trails through the canyons, good places to run and jump and climb. His ears forward and his paws moving quickly but silently Kit panted lightly, tail curled up behind him as he moved. Coming to the river he splashed straight in the appeal of the water to much to resist, clambering out the other side he noticed Catori still dry and fluffy clearly having leapt the river rather than get herself wet. Kit shot her an innocent smile before shaking himself dry, splashing her in the process.
“Ugh!” leaping away with a short laugh she shook her own pale coat out, shooting an amused but playfully disapproving look at kit “that’s not fair”
“Alls fair in wet and war” he said poking his tongue out teasingly.
Catori pounced, knocking him to the floor she laughed and the two wrestled in a blur of cream and dark fur. Giggling loudly she bit down on his ear and pulled.
“Hey your not a pup any more!” he rolled over with a giggle and managed to dislodge her with a back paw. Taking his chance he rolled over and quickly stood, his paw pads no sooner on the ground then he was running, the speed sending his fur flying, his tail straight out behind him and his eyes glowing with excitement and enjoyment. Turning into the first tight passage down the high red rock walls Kit poured on the speed feeling his legs working beneath him, his ears flat against his head he could hear Catori behind him. Rocks and bushed blurred past as the two raced down the worn path, their panting the only other sound apart from their paws striking the ground. Kitchi slowed himself slightly, letting Catori catch up and running easily next to her, the two of them flying side by side, running together now rather than racing, taking the tight winding bends at skids.
They knew something was wrong as they came to the end of the path, it opened up again like a hungry mouth to the grassy pastures that stretched over most of Isket. Still running side by side they shortened their paces and rather than push themselves they loped easily, their eyes and ears alert and searching for anything. No small animals moved in the bushes lining the canyon, no birds sounded overhead. Kit slowed to a walk and felt Catori brush against him matching her pace to his, her ears scanning for any sign of life.
They soon found it.
A shriek that hurt their ears came from above and a shadowy shape dropped out of the sky, the sun behind the shape making the wolves blind as they looked upwards. Kit snarled and shoved against Catori, sending her sprawling into the dust and out of the way of the Kronador. He whirled snarling and snapped at the falling creature but it landed on top of him, hissing and snapping at his neck. He felt the weight fly off of him and threw himself back on his paws, twisting as he did to take a snap at the creatures neck. Something hit him in the head from behind and it all went dark….
Slowly waking the big wolf groaned, pain shooting through his head as he tried to raise it from the ground. The sun had switched sides in the sky and the heat was unbearable in the narrow path where he lay. Dragging himself onto shaky legs he winced and whined uneasily, pain still shrieked through him but now a new thought slammed into his chest…..Catori! He whirled round looking for her, but saw nothing, not a trace of her or the Kronador. Hissing through his teeth he raced for the end of the tunnel, his muscles bunching and releasing as he pushed himself out into the open and across the grass, skidding to a halt only when he reached the river bank he threw his head back and let rip with a huge howl, it tore from him and hurt his own ears. Pacing up and down he shook his head and whipped his tail side to side, growls tearing through his chest and throat. Impatience clawed at his chest and head and he scratched and pawed at the ground in frustration, another urgent howl bursting from him.
As he paced he noticed blurred shapes running towards him, shimmering in the heat of the day as they slowly grew larger. Unable to contain himself he burst through the river to meet them, able to see the warriors now. Five of them had come, apparently responding to the urgent tone of his howling and wondering what on earth had happened, the leader was huge and shimmering with his armour already in place, an urgent serious look in his eyes as he skidded to a halt.
“They’ve got Catori!” Kit yowled scratching at the ground again and whimpering in frustration “help!”
“Kronadors!” the big wolf behind the leader snarled catching on in an instant, his deep chest grumbling growl echoed by the other wolves.
“How many” the leader snapped urgently, his eyes full of concern and eager to leave and rescue their fallen pack member.
“I….I don’t know” Kit whimpered shaking his head in disgust with himself “I didn’t see….they hit me from behind”
“Ok young one, don’t worry. We’ll find them” he turned and nodded to the other wolves, they fanned out two on either side of them “where did you see them?’
“Just in that canyon” he tipped his head to show the older wolf “I’m coming too!” he stared up, his yellow eyes blazing with annoyance and passion, he wanted to help find Catori….it was his fault she was lost.
“No. You go home now. Get that cut looked at” with that the big wolf bounded over the rushing water of the river and the 5 of them took off, their armour glinting in the sun. Kitchi twitched an flicked an ear, a sharp sting ran across his skin as he did so. He hadn’t noticed until then the faint odour of blood on his fur and the sting behind his ear.
Deciding it must not be that serious he turned and gave chase to the wolves, determined to help if he could, knowing if he got caught there would be huge trouble. He winced a little at that idea but managed to keep it from taking hold of him, he wasn’t really bothered about trouble with the pack elders, more worried this would hurt his chances of getting armour.
Shaking his head he picked up the pace, lengthening his stride to cover more ground, his breath huffing easily as he moved. Catching a glint of metal in the distance he slowed up a little and kept his eye on the glint, if he got seen it was all over, and he HAD to help find Catori.
He raised his head and sniffed lightly, his sensitive nose picking up the other wolves scent on the light breeze that ruffled through the bushes, creeping behind them he followed down the path he had woken on, twisting paths led deeper and deeper into the canyon, until Kit thought he might never find his way back out.
That’s where the fight began.
Loud snarls and clangs suddenly rang out through the red rock walls, head low Kit took off again, rounding the last few bends like a race car and digging his claws into the path to shoot himself forwards. The five large wolves were fighting a group of the Kronador, snapping and clawing at the ugly beasts, trying to rip and tear them up. The fight was even, and Kit stayed in the shadows looking in small crevices and tiny caves for any sign of his missing pal, he crept up a small path keeping one eye on the fight. Until a shift suddenly rendered a wolf in terrible danger, one of the evil creatures had its jaws under the helmet of the wolfs armour, Kit snarled and leapt from the ledge where he perched, catching the things neck in his jaws and shaking his head to the side sharply, instantly snapping its neck and killing it. Kitchi dropped it with a gasp, his eyes wide with amazement as he surveyed the broken body at his paws. The adult wolf growled a string of thanks mixed with words of annoyance and a slight disapproval clearly aimed at Kit.
The rest of the fight was brutal and hard, more of the Kronador came and the 6 wolves fought to kill every last one, 3 escaped, 7 lay dead around them and one was writhing in pain under the huge paws of the lead wolf. The plan was to extract information about the whereabouts of Catori but it wasn’t going well, Kit watched with hard eyes as the creature thrashed and screamed but didn’t say anything. Finally they disposed of it.
“You should not have come” the lead wolf growled cleaning his claws against a dry patch of grass “its too dangerous without armour”
“I know” Kit sighed and let his head hang weary
“Well I suppose you do now” with a frown the big wolf turned away “we’ll need to go back, the others need to help us find her” he raised an eyebrow and sighed “its hard work as you can see Kitchi, but you did well today”
Kit nodded his head, his legs felt weak and achy and his head spun in sickening circles his stomach rolled and he fought the feeling of fainting back. His first fight….his first kill, but oh did his head hurt.
“I think it’s about time you got your armour”
Hearing this Kit aimed a weak smiled at the huge wolf, at least if he had armour he could fight…he could help, the thought brought a snarly smile to his maw.
An hour later back at camp the wolves discussed in detail how they would try to rescue Catori and it seemed an attack on the Kronador base was inevitable. Kit however did not join in with the planning and after refusing the healer to look at his wound and promising he’d let her look later he had escaped to his usual spot on the peak of the hill, gazing out over the sunset and the land. Another sunset and another day was past, but so much had changed in the short hours since he had last sat and gazed upon the land.
The breeze ruffled his fur and it shimmered around him, his tail curled tight to his side and his ears alert and forward ruffled lightly too, his eyes shone burning gold in the light and his face was serious and proud.
He would find her.
He would rescue Catori…
Ugh I apologize in advance for the less than perfect quality of this form, family problems got in the way and I only had yesterday to work on it. I hope its come out understandable XD
