Kitten Number:
Four
Why you want it:
Okay, the obvious answer is, I'm a character hoarder. Guilty as charged x'> And I always love the CS pet breedings that users come up with. This pairing is especially gorgeous and I love what you've done with it. The fourth kitten caught my eye right away with her design, plus the heterochromia is fantastic! I don't have very many kitty characters either so I'd be happy to have this beautiful little addition.
What you'll do with it:
Mainly art. Since I came up with the story I have here, I think she'd be a great character to work with. There's a lot of possibilities for her story!
Kitten Name:
Stray
I don't know why but it popped into my head and stuck x> Stray...what? Angel? Goddess? Demon? Hmm.
Kitten extra:
Art to go with the story
"What's thi--"
Stray sat bolt upright, wrinkling her nose before letting out an enormous sneeze. "Aw man," the kitten muttered, ears drooping as she realized she'd sent the white seeds flying from the dandelion she had been investigating. She stuck her tongue out at what was left of the weed, got to her feet, and trotted off, tail raised like a flagpole. "Dumb flower."
Of course, as she wasn't looking where she put her paws, Stray promptly tripped over a large root poking out of the soil. The kitten let out a yelp as she stumbled forward, falling on her face and rolling onto her back. "I give up," she sighed, staring up at the afternoon sky.
"If you're what I have to work with, maybe I should find myself a different cat."
Stray sprang to her paws, eyes darting around in search of the source of the strange voice. "Who's there? Show yourself! I'll fight you if that's what you want!"
"Calm down, Princess." A dark figure no bigger than a mouse stepped out from the side of the path Stray was on. "I'm looking for you, not a fight."
Stray fluffed her fur up slightly and gave a small growl. "Who are you? You don't scare me."
The figure groaned, reached up, and removed what Stray realized was a dome-shaped hat. "Geez, Princess, they didn't tell me you'd be so eager to fight. Take it down a notch."
Narrowing her eyes, Stray lowered her front half and rested her chin on the ground to get a better look at the newcomer. "Who are you?" She repeated.
The stranger ran a hand through his soot-colored hair before replacing his hat. "Just call me Chi. I was sent to train you. You have a kingdom to run and an upcoming war to fight, but you're obviously a few centuries out of practice."
"What?!" Stray sat up and scooted backwards, putting some space between herself and this delusional creature. "You're crazy!"
"That's what they all say," Chi grumbled. "Look, Princess, I've got a job to do, and it requires you to come with me. I'll explain on the way because it's a long story and I'd rather walk and tell you."
"You're out of your mind!" Stray snapped in return. "I'm not going anywhere with you!"
Chi made a loud, exasperated noise. "Fine. Listen up, Princess. You're not a normal kitty-cat. You think you are, but actually, you're a few thousand years old. Basically you were sent to this Earth several centuries ago for your own protection. You've been getting reincarnated every few years just to keep your otherworldly identity on the down-low, which unfortunately also means you've forgotten everything. Now though, you're needed. Your old arch nemesis, who was the reason you came here in the first place, has been stirring up trouble, and we know war isn't far off." Chi sighed. "Of course, I'm the one the Ancient Gods had to choose to mentor you. Lucky me. I get to return you to your royal self. Now can we go? We don't have forever."
Stray had relaxed a little during the story but she was far from believing it. "But I've got--"
"A family? Things to do?" Chi folded his arms and lashed his black tail irritably--Stray suddenly realized the small creature was a cat Pip.
The orange and white kitten blinked.
Wait. How did she know that?
"That's better," Chi said with a nod, recognizing the light of stunned realization in the kitten's two differently colored eyes. "When you leave, all memory of you will be lost to the rest of the world. It's a nice perk of being from a realm of...magical qualities."
"But..." Stray dropped her ears. "They're my family."
"You've had many, many, many of those, Princess." Chi pointed out. "There's a lot you will find out in the months to come. But we need to get going if you're going to learn about your life."
"I don't really believe you," Stray responded, "but okay. I'll go. I can beat you up if I need to anyway."
The comment drew a smirk from the Pip. "You'll have your chance, Princess."
