Why are you Adopting?
Ever since I saw TWG90's thread about the Warriors of Isket, I have been hooked. I have always loved the idea of wolves in armor, and the rest of their world and story reeled me in right away. Besides that, her design just caught my attention the moment I saw her. Those colors flow so beautifully together and those green eyes are so distinct, yet they also flow so effortlessly with the rest of her design. I have always wanted a character with those exact colors but could never think of a suitable design that would represent exactly what I wanted, until now when I see this gorgeous pup. Finally, I feel I have found the one Warrior of Isket that suits me the most out of any I have seen produced. I just really love her and hope I have a good chance of adopting her <3

Personality:
Brave, Personal, Strong, Serious, Loyal
Zahabu grew up as a very personal individual who never enjoyed interacting with others too much. That doesn't mean that she hates being close to others, but it takes her a long time in order to truly trust another. She is very brave, and would be the first to rush into battle if given the chance. Her strong personality stands out in her and she usually never backs down when she knows she is right about something. As for loyalty, as long as you are on her good side and spent time getting to know her, she will always be loyal to you as long as you are loyal back to her.

Submit Short Story:
It was a clear morning full of sunshine and promise for a wonderful day. With the sounds of her litter-mates rustling about outside of the den, Zahabu could no longer sleep so she sleepily opened her eyes. Instantly, her brothers and sisters pounced on her the moment she walked out of the den opening but Zahabu quickly snarled so they left her be. Zahabu was always a very different being from her siblings and didn't entertain playing or horsing around. She was very serious, and possessed some amazing talents that her brothers and sisters were quite jealous of. Her eldest brother, Sultan, loved to try and get in her head every day, and today was no different. "Zahabu, how about you use your 'special' abilities and go fetch us some breakfast since father hasn't come back yet from his hunt. Oh wait, I forgot that your mind is also special too and you probably don't even know how to hunt yet," he said with a snarl of laughter and a large grin on his face. Zahabu starting turning towards him with her full set of teeth showing, ready to rip him apart when her father, Taka, appeared and scolded Sultan for hearing such hurtful things. Seeing as he had already been punished, Zahabu left Sultan be and followed her father into a small clearing since she knew she could confide in him about things that have been heavy on her mind.
"Father, why am I so different from the rest of the family?" she questioned as she went and sat by Taka. Zahabu had been meaning to ask him about this for days but never could find the right time away from the rest of her prodding family. "Look sweetheart, there are things that you can barely understand but just know that you are a warrior at heart." Right after Taka finished speaking, a very eerie and familiar sound came from the bushes close to where Zahabu and Taka were sitting. Zahabu had never heard the sound before, but Taka was all-to-familiar with it from his days of living with the Warriors of Isket and knew exactly what was hunting them behind those bushes. Taka yelled to Zahabu, "Run!" and, at that moment, a large Kronador leaped out and started attacking Taka. Zahabu only saw a glimpse of the large and ugly beast before she was grabbed by a large wolf with gleaming armor and set into a small basket that was very dark.
Throughout the long time she was in that dark basket, Zahabu's crying cut through the darkness as she longed for someone familiar, whether that be her father, or even her rude brother, Sultan. Anyone at that point would have made her feel so much better about the situation. Right as she became quiet after giving up hope for the future, the top of the basket was opened and a beautiful set of blue eyes peered in at her. A soft voice came from those blue eyes, "There there Zahabu, don't be afraid, you are where you belong now." How the heck did this voice know who she was, where was she, and where was her family for that matter? Zahabu quickly leaped out of the basket baring her teeth and growling at the very large and beautiful wolf that those blue eyes belonged to. As she defended her ground, Zahabu became aware of the beauty of this wolf's beautiful white, gray, and light blue fur.
"She's a feisty one isn't she Soraya?" Another large wolf with beautiful markings came into Zahabu's view and stood next to the original wolf with those bright blue eyes. This wolf had a male's voice and was a stunning mix of white, black, and golden colors. At sight of these two very large wolves, Zahabu finally backed down and went to sit alone, away from everyone. Being in such a new place without anything familiar had taken it's tole on Zahabu so she just laid down right where she was and wept. While the male wolf left her be, the first wolf she encountered, known as Soraya, came over to her and laid down beside her, offering her warmth and comfort as her tears flowed silently until she eventually drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, Zahabu awoke to a great thunderstorm rolling through the area. Not knowing where she was and being all alone, she jumped up and started searching for anyone so she could ask some questions about this strange new place. Finally, Soraya came into view and motioned for Zahabu to follow her into this large area where many wolves were enjoying their morning breakfast rations. "Go ahead and eat Zahabu, you need your strength high since you will begin to train today," Soraya gently said as she pushed a plate of meat over. Zahabu was so extremely confused about this training and had so many questions to ask but was also so terribly hungry that she had to eat while offered. The food was very good but she ate in a hurry since she had to go back to Soraya and end this horrible confusion that kept racking her mind.
"Soraya, may I please speak with you?" Zahabu asked as she had finally caught up with the wolf in the midst of some very large trees. Soraya turned, surprised that the young wolf was able to find her in this part of the woods, "Sure, you may come walk with me if you would like." Zahabu was very personal and did not entertain the idea to walk with such a large wolf that she barely knew but figured it would be the only way she could get some answers. "So, may I ask where exactly am I and what happened to my family?" Soraya looked at her with a gentle smile and explained, "Zahabu, you are in Isket where we, the great warriors, protect our land from Kronadors. As for your family, I am really sorry to tell you this but you will never see them again." At these words, Zahabu instantly felt like she had been shot in the heart and then became angry at that thing that she knew in her gut was a Kronador which she saw come after her father. "Those things you speak of, the Kronadors, did they hurt my father and my family? And what do you mean by we, the warriors?" With a sadness in her voice, Soraya turned to Zahabu, "The Kronadors have hurt and murdered many innocent families so that is why we fight them day in and day out to regain control of our land. I am not for sure what happened to your family, but you will have a chance to defend their honor in the near future." Before Soraya could finish, Zahabu butted in with a heavy heart, "I wish every one of those wretched creatures would meet their fate like my family has. I will go tear them apart limb fro..." "Zahabu, please calm down and control your anger until you can successfully use it after your training is complete. As for being warriors, you are here because being a warrior is in your blood and in your heart. Now, I must go as it is my time to take over training the more experienced pups." As Soraya said this, she ran off quickly and gracefully into the shadows of the woodlands. While watching her run away, Zahabu remembered those words that her father had told her the last time she had seen him, "you are a warrior at heart," and quickly ran back to her fellow pups, eager to begin her training.
~*~ 2 Years Later ~*~
In a line with her fellow graduates, Zahabu stood, waiting patiently to finally be awarded her armor, signifying her as a true Warrior of Isket. Not only that, but she was also being recognized for being one of the top students within her training class as well. Of course, her nerves made her quiver a little bit but she was ultimately happy to finally be ready to fight and defend her family's honor as she had promised two long years ago. While waiting in the line, she started reflecting back at all the moments that stood out to her throughout her training. She still remembered being carried in that small basket and growling at poor Soraya because she was so confused and scared. She remembered all the long hours she put in extra to learn different and more unique combat moves that would allow her to be an even better fighter. She remembered how Rayo had pushed her so hard and how much that used to piss her off, but also how it made her so much stronger. She especially remembered how every time the training seemed almost impossible to continue, she would remember her father's words, "You are a warrior at heart," and pushed on through the blood, sweat, and tears. That is how she was where she is today, and can not wait to become a noble warrior and defend this wonderful country that took her in with open arms.
All of a sudden, it was Zahabu's time to go on stage and receive her armor and she was ready. All of her nerves seemed to dissipate as she pictured her family sitting there watching her receive her armor and she knew at that point that she had made them proud. Zahabu was truly a warrior at heart and was finally a Warrior of Isket.
