# of Pup you want: 2 <3
Name: Tenshi (Angel in Japanese)
Gender: Female
Short Story/ History: Tenshi was born in a den just big enough for her, her siblings, and parents. Her mother, Lotis licked her and her siblings to keep them warm, it was the beginning of spring and the trees were just starting to blossom again. A cold winter breeze still stung the air. Tenshi's mother covered the pups with her tail to keep them from the cold. Little Tenshi shivered, this earth was so cold compared to the warmth she had felt only a few hours ago. Tenshi buried her head in her mother's fur so she could her the comforting sound of her steady heart beat. Tenshi's father, Romulus hadn't even seen her yet, he had gone off hunting a while ago and while he was gone her mother given birth to six small puppies, which was truly a miracle. "Your father will be home soon," The new mother soothed her pups. Tenshi snuggled close to her mother and drifted off into a deep sleep. When she woke up she felt the warm breath of her father sniffing his daughter and taking in her scent. Lotis smiled proudly at Romulus "Aren't they beautiful?" She murmured. The Romulus smiled too and wagged his extra long tail.
"What are their names?" He asked softly.
"I was waiting for you to help me name them," The Lotis replied. Romulus nodded and his beautiful grey blue eyes scanned the pups, his eyes rested on Tenshi. She was the perfect mix of them both, her fur was a perfect in between mix of her parents, she has her mother's stripes, and a white under belly like both of them.
"Tenshi," was the first name that came to his mind.
"Tenshi?" Lotis asked. Romulus nodded.
"Yes. Tenshi, the little angel." Romulus replied.
"Our little angel," Lotis said quietly as she nested her muzzle on the pup's tiny one. After they went through and picked out names for all the pups, the parents too went to sleep. two weeks later Tenshi awoke to find her siblings were much more active than they had been a week ago. One of her brothers rolled beside her. Tenshi also found her eyes were begging to open, she could now see the world and hear it too, her ears had also decided to unseal themselves. Tenshi took the world in for the first time, her eyes traced every detail of her siblings and their environment. Slowly, her eyes found her mother's face looking into her's. "Tenshi," Her mother spoke her name so Tenshi could hear it for the first time. Tenshi did nothing except stare into her mother's enchanting orange-yellow eyes. Lotis smiled warmly and laughed a soft laugh. Romulus padded in from the outside, he smiled and nuzzled his daughter.
"Her eyes are beautiful," He said, his fur was warm by now it was just starting to warm up outside.Tenshi smiled at her dad and wiggled her puppy tail. another week passed and Tenshi and her siblings were now starting to walk around by themselves and play. Tenshi was a bit calmer than the other pups and spent most of her time watching them. One of her sisters came up and crouched down in a playing position in front on Tenshi.
"C'mon Tenshi! Play with us!" Her sister barked. Tenshi shrugged and padded off with her sister. Out of nowhere one of her brothers pounced on Tenshi's head. Tenshi whipped around and pounced back, even though she didn't play much herself she learned from observation. Tenshi's parents watched the pups play.
"They will become great warriors," Romulus mused. Lotis nodded.
"Next week I will teach them to hunt," She informed Romulus. Romulus laughed at the though of his little pups chasing after rabbit and other prey. A week later Lotis gathered all the pups, Romulus at her side. "Today, we are taking you on your first hunt, also your first exploration outside the dens. Stick with your father and I if a kronador gets you, your gone," Lotis informed her pups, it may have sounded a little harsh but it's the way things are in Isket. Lotis padded outside and stretched her legs, this was also the first time she had been out in a while, the pups had kept her inside and Romulus had provided the food As for the water that came in through the opening of then den when it rained and filled in little puddles all around her so she could drink. Romulus spotted a large buck and licked his lips. He looked to Lotis as if to say, "Can I go for it?" Lotis nodded and turned to the pups. "Watch your father closely," She instructed. Romulus bolted for the buck, his tail streaking behind him. When he was within range, he pounced for the neck and the deer was done for. Romulus dragged the carcass back to the den and walked back to the pups.
"That's how you take down a deer, but today you will be taking down much smaller prey," Romulus told the pups. both Romulus and Lotis lead the pups to a small meadow where loads of small furry creatures could be found.
"Go ahead, try and find yourself a meal but don't wander too far as I told you earlier you could be killed," Lotis said with a hit of sternness in her voice. Tenshi bounded off and sniffed the grass, she could just smell a faint squirrel. She followed the scent until she found it, sitting in the grass looking for food. Tenshi ran at the squirrel. The squirrel herd Tenshi and dashed the other way. Tenshi ran after it for a long time. Tenshi chased the squirrel until the reached a cliff. Tenshi's eyes widened and she halted at once. The squirrel was now trapped and thinking about jumping but before it did Tenshi grabbed it by the tail with her teeth. Tenshi, realized what she had just done and ran back to her parents in victory.
"Ah, Tenshi I see you've managed to bring back a squirrel, and alive too I may add," Romulus said.
"Go on Tenshi, it's your meal now, you've done an excellent job," Lotis praised. Tenshi ended the squirrel and ate her first meal she had ever caught. Later on her sibling came back from their hunt, only a few came back not empty handed. A few days later Tenshi woke up to discover a small lump on one of her back legs, she stared at it with interest. After going hunting with her family and catching a brown rabbit. She studied the lump more, finally the urge to bite it over whelmed her and she did. Only to discover it caused her pain and the lump started to bleed. Tenshi decided to ignore the lump, it was probably just a thing all wolves had right? Tenshi continued to grow and by the time she was three months old her condition had decreased badly, Tenshi's appetite had lessened, she hardly ate a bite. Tenshi was also dropping weight rapidly. And the worst thing of all, she was losing the ability to hunt, her stamina was always low and her legs stiff. One fateful day she awoke and was gasping for air but the worst part was when she went to get up, her back legs wouldn't move. Panic spread through Tenshi "Mom! Dad! Help!" She weakly barked. Lotis padded over.
"Tenshi?" she asked nervously, hearing the panic in her daughter's voice.
"I-I can't move my back legs!" Tenshi cried. Lotis's heart sank, this was bad. Romulus came running inside from his early hunt.
"What wrong?! I heard Tenshi say something about her legs," Romulus asked, alarmed.
"Romulus, we need to take Tenshi to Igino," Lotis's voice was serous. Romulus nodded.
"Well, C'mon then Tenshi," Romulus called walking outside.
"Romulus, she can't walk," Lotis said gravely. Romulus frowned, realizing the seriousness of the situation. Romulus nodded and scooped Tenshi up, being three months old she wasn't too big plus there was the fact she had lost so much weight she was easy to carry. Lotis started to follow but Romulus halted and looked her in the eye.
"Lotis, stay here the other pups need you they will be kronador food if we both leave," Romulus told his beloved mate. Sadly, Lotis nodded and watched Romulus disappear from view as he carried the sickly Tenshi on a journey to Igino, the Shaman. Romulus carried Tenshi away from the main dens, past the hunting meadows, the waterfall, and the river. Tenshi cried and whimpered most the way there, as she was scared she was going to die. Romulus carried Tenshi through the night, even though his paw pads were sore and he was out of breath. At the crack of dawn the next day, The Shaman's cave was in sight. Romulus was suddenly filled with strength as he barreled down to the cave. "Igino!!" Romulus called even though his mouth was full with Tenshi's fur. Igino padded out of the cave and saw Romulus running at him with a pup in his jaws. Romulus reached the cave and set Tenshi on the cave floor, her body was cold as the stone on the ground. "Tenshi, my pup she's sick, she can't walk. Please heal her," Romulus said, short of breath. Igino sniffed the pup.
"This is very serous, I'm glad you came so fast, Romulus," Igino said nosing around his den for healing herbs. Igino found a few and set them by Tenshi's nose. "Eat these," he instructed. Tenshi weakly nodded and ate them. "Romulus, something like this is going to take a while to heal, I suggest you go back to Lotis while you wait," Igino suggested. Romulus almost felt like arguing with Igino, but he didn't need to start a fight with another of his own kind and he was right anyway, Igino knew what was he was doing. Romulus nodded at last.
"Yes," He agreed padding into the cave he nuzzled his daughter once more before leaving.
The next day Romulus reported home and told Lotis what Igino had to say. Igino kept giving Tenshi herbs and tried to keep her warm. Over the next few weeks all Tenshi did was lay around and sleep, she was no longer acting like the playful pup she should be. Tenshi would have nightmares at night and wake up freezing cold. Igino kept trying everyday to make Tenshi better. A month passed and even the Shaman himself was doubtful. Igino started speaking with powerful wolf spirits every night, asking them to lift Tenshi from sickness. Igino was busy everyday with Tenshi, when she wasn't asleep he tried to get her to eat something. Igino brought her water and all the things she needed every single day. It was staring to wear him down. One day toward the end of the month Igino had to embark on a journey for the herbs he had been giving Tenshi, he hated to leave her alone but it was all her could do. While he was out a kronador came sniffing near the cave. It caught scent of Tenshi and tottered into the cave making a very quiet hissing sound. The kronador padded right up to Tenshi and sniffed her fur. Right as the kronador was about to kill her, Tenshi stopped breathing. The kronador sniffed her again and a scent that smelled of death filled it's nostrils. It hissed and padded away, if she was dead and sick it didn't want her. Remarkably right after it left Tenshi's breathing restarted. Igino came back to his den growling lowly when he scented the kronador had been in his den. He was shocked when he found it had actually went up to Tenshi but didn't kill her. That night he thanked the spirits for saving Tenshi's life. Tenshi awoke one day the next month to see Igino was away this morning, which was strange because he normally greeted her when she awoke. Tenshi thought a minute and then got an idea to try some thing she hadn't in months. Tenshi roused herself from the spot that had become hers in Igino's cave and slowly she placed her paws beneath her and finally she stood. She was shaky at first but then she started to walk and excited to go on to the next step, she ran out of the den. "Igino!" she called. Igino came running, expecting something to be wrong but halted at the wonderful shock he saw. His eyes stared to tear a little bit but he didn't show it.
"Thank you," He murmured to the wolf spirits.
"Igino, I feel much better!" Tenshi called.
"We must go to your parents at once! They will be please to have you back home!" Igino exclaimed. Tenshi nodded and raced off with new strength. Igino followed. The following day they arrived Tenshi's den.
"Tenshi!?" Lotus was shocked and ran out to meet her daughter with Romulus following. Lotus burst out in tears with this miracle. Tenshi was truly an angel, an angel who had almost died.

viewtopic.php?f=32&t=654981Other: I love WOIs its my dream to own one . When I saw this I got so excited and have been stalking it silently. I fell in love with this beautiful design! I love the color of the eyes and the design its self is beautiful. I've tried out for a WOI before and didn't make it but this time I'm going all out. My reason for the name and an idea for the story came from my dog, Angel who recently had to be put down because of cancer. (Which is what Tenshi had if I didn't make it clear enough) Also I'm sorry if my story drags on too long and makes no sense.
