Little story:
Makani whined "Mom?" She yelped pain in her voice.It was rainy on that cold night his parents had abandoned her.Makani shivered thinking her parents would come back in the morning.Her parents where very cold hearted and only had her because they could...but she didn't know that.Makani was cradled to sleep that night by the sounds of owls screaching and wolves howling.In the morning Makani gave a small yawn as she streached awake.Makani wobled up and looked around "Mama?...Papa?" She called,but her parents where no where to be seen.She decided to look around for them that day.Makani was still new on the 'walking' thing so she didn't make it far when she tripped and fell.She whinned and got back up and sat.Makani didn't know much about her sense of smell that much right now,but she smelt other wolves!Mabye they are friendly She thought to herself as she worked her way up the steep hill.
"Hello!?"Makani called out as she walked out and onto the field.It was beutiful there.A large female came to her and brought her in.That night she could hear wolves talking and whispering.In the morning the female that took her in was next to her."Hello"The female was smiling"Do you have a name?"Makani nodded"Yes,It's Makani"Her parents had never acttualy named her...so she had to name herself.The female smiled happily"Pretty name,my name is Soraya"Mikani nodded.''You don't have to be scared''Soraya got up."W-where are you going?"Makani whined"Don't worry I am coming back"Soraya smiled as she walked out of the den.When Soraya came back she had a dead deer.Makani started to eat"What is this"She still had meat in her mouth as she said it."It is called deer"Soraya smiled.Makani kept eating "Mmmm"."Glad you like it"Soraya laughed happily.
3 months later
"That's it!"Makani whispered as she ran.Her armor glistened in the light.Makani had grown bigger and stronger in just 3 months.Makani was only 4 months and was very big for her age.They had tought her how to hunt,fight,and how to be a team.Makani stood on the small hill and howled.She was having a great day so far."Soraya!"Makani called.Soraya walked up to Makani and smiled"Yes"Makani sniffed in deeply"Was I your pup?''Soraya hesitated"Um...I adopted you".Makani sighed"Oh"Soraya nugged her and smiled"But I will always love you know matter where your from"Makani smiled and rested her head on Soraya's shoulder"I love you more"Makani yaned"We should go back..."Makani and Soraya looked at the sunset and where mezmorized"Wow"Makani smiled and got up and walked back to camp,Soraya behind her.
Makani walked into her den and sighed tiredly.She streached and layed down and closed her eyes and remembered her parents.They looked so real,but they where just a dream.Makani tossed,wined,and growled in her deep sleep that night.The worst of her dreams was the one where Soraya was killed right there in front of her,and she couldn't do anything about it.Makani woke up breathing heavily."It was just a dream"Makani sighed in relife.Makani got up and shook off."Calm down!"Makani said sternly to herself as she walked around her den.Most of the other wolves where still asleep,so she was quiet and didn't make much noise."Ugh!"Makani thought about the dream.
After almost 4 hours of waiting Soraya walked into Makani's den."What is the mater Makani?"Soraya asked as soon as she saw Makani."I had a bad dream"Makani felt silly saying it,and she looked down at her paws."I see"Soraya smiled and licked Makani's chin.Makani smiled"Thank you for understanding"Soraya smiled and nodded."What do you want to do today?"Soraya asked with a smile.Makani thought and opened her mouth and then shut it and thought more.Soroya looked up"We could..."Soraya thought more."Are you hungry?"Makani finally asked."Very"Soraya looked over at Makani."I know what we could do"Makani smiled."What did you have in mind"Soraya smiled."Want to go hunting?"Makani smiled.Soraya nodded as she ran out of the den laughing.Makani quickly ran after her smiling and laughing.

Little story:
Think or your life. It's normal, fun and exciting. You get to do most of the things you want to do, and don't have to do the necessary things like hunting and diving a den. This is up to your parents to do. 

But what if your not normal, have a fun life and it's exciting for all the wrong reasons. What if you have to go hunting everyday just to keep you alive, to dig out a new den each week so older wolves and coyotes don't find you. What if you were constantly running, running from danger and running from yourself. 

It all started one sunny day in Autumn. The sun was out, hardly any clouds in the sky. There was a nice breeze, about 25 degrees. I was playing with my brothers and sisters outside the den. I think we were playing tag, but my memory is still blurred. Mother was out hunting, and Father was with her. It was noon when the sun disappeared, and black clouds came from nowhere. The breeze turned into a harsh icy wind, although winter wasn't due for another month and a half. My oldest brother said to go inside the den and wait for the wind to die before we could continue playing. I agreed. We went into the den and sat, listening for our parents. Eventually mother came back, her pelt was covered in blood and snow. She gasped for air. She told us to stay in the deepest and darkest part of the den, and wait until she came back. I asked where father was, I loved my father the most of all my family. She said not to worry, he will be back soon. 

This was the last time I saw my parents alive.

As the oldest female pup, I had to act as a other figure to the younger ones. It was up to me and Zeus, the oldest one of all, to hunt for food and find water. But hunting is hard when you're only 8 months old and don't know how, but somehow we managed. Zeus was good at protecting us, and taught me how to be a fighter.

This lasted 1 year.

When we were almost 2 years old, we left. Each of us took separate paths, some went off to fight in the war. And others like me and Zeus stayed together. He vowed never to leave me. What a kind brother I had, and what a big fat lie.
