History to explain why he has the white saddle mark on his withers:
Dusty lived on a beautiful ranch. He worked all day herding the cattle for the family that cared for him lovingly each day. With there love he was plenty happy to do the job. Then one fateful day there was a storm brewing on the horizon. Everyone hurried home at a faster pace as the clouds over took the sun. When they got home dusty was put to bed in his stalls. As he stood there eating his dinner he heard a wail, full of fear. Then the lightning and thunder started. His master came running into the stable and grabbed his saddle. It was then tossed on him and strapped, then they were off. Dusty felt the fear as his normally peaceful master urged him to a gallop. He pounded through the rain as lightning flashed and thunder rolled, seeming to surround him. The rain blurred his vision as his master led him through the storm. Then through the pounding rain and thunder claps he heard a cry, a cry coming from his masters daughter. At that he flew through the rain toward the sound. They then came to a mountain. As they started up the mountain the saddle dug into Dusty's withers but he continued on. They then came to a small girl huddle near the ground as the rain soaked her. His master leaped off his back and grabbed the girl. He then got back on and put the girl in front of him. Then they started down the mountain. As he galloped back down the saddle dug in even deeper with two people in the saddle. it dug deeper and deeper as he ran faster and faster to get the girl to safety. As dusty reached the bottom he cried out in pain but kept going thou the rain and pain where now blinding him. Then he saw a familiar light. He gave a last burst of speed and they where there back home to safety. Dusty stopped at the front door as his master pulled on the reins. Then his master leaped off his back and carried the girl in his arms to safety, his job was now done. As the stable hand came and took him to his stall his breathing was labored and the saddle still dug into his withers. He limped as the stones in his hooves dug in. When he got to his stall all he wanted to do was lye down and sleep. But he was not done yet. As the stable hand took off the saddle he groaned in pain. The rest of what the stable hand did was a blur. All that went thorough his mind was, he a simple horse just saved his family's life. He is now spoiled by Cottonwood Ranch as he lives there, now retired.
